It's been 3 months... time to blog hop...

No excuses for me, just slack. Actually I have been on facebook a bit and that sometimes can suck some time up.
So whats been happening since my last post.... not a lot.

A quiet Christmas and an even quieter New Years.

Work, work, and more work and of course getting the site back to its prime has been my focus this year.

Blaine celebrated his 7th birthday. A night at the drive in's and we saw the Tooth Fairy with the entire family. Was a really nice night out.

Back to school and now in grade 2 with a lovely new teacher which seems to have been very good for Blaine. Im just hoping things keep going upwards at school. Term 1 has been really good so far.

Oh and I finally got to see my idol IRL... 25 years I've been waiting and finally saw George Michael. It was an awesome night and can't wait until he return.

So here we are today. I am currently on a card making mission as Blaine's school has a fair this Friday and I am no where near ready for it. I have 2 OTP's I want to do by then so may have a few late nights coming up this week.

I'm loving the gym and I am starting to see a few changes. I have dropped a dress size which is always good so I just have to be patient and stick with it and I know I will get there at some stage.

6 weeks without a post... so sorry I have been flat chat....

So whats been happening? Well a few things here and there.

I had a birthday and went out for dinner with Mum and Blaine. we went to Hogs Breath and yummy...

Then we had our 2nd annual retreat in Frankston. Absolutely fabulous time was had by all and this year our theme was Halloween. Here are a few snaps of us dressed in our best.

Been pretty quiet since then, trying to catch up on and sleep, a bit of spring cleaning and getting ready for xmas. Last weekend we spent shopping. Saturday was a trip to the city to see the Myer windows and have a photo with Santa. When we got home we put up the tree and Sunday was more xmas shopping. Almost done and I am so looking forward to a 2 week break over christmas... bring it on...

So that is all thats been happening in my life. This weekend we have the crop day Saturday in Officer Hall and everybody is welcome, so please come. All the details are in the forum.

Has it been that long?

Gosh, hasn't time just flown by? There just doesn't seem to be enough time in the day even with the start of day light savings here in Vic but yep, I am 1 of those that had no idea it had changed. oh well...lol

Let's do a recap on what I have been up to since my last update.

Kaiser Q2 was released and Scrapbook Capital has finally got it in stock.

I got to play with some of it and here is what I have done.

This is the Lilac Avenue range which I must say I loved working with.

This is the wreath that is available that I put together using the Belle range.

The other layout is a sketch Sammi set on our last Cybercrop.

Over the school holidays I took Blaine and my neices to a maze at Arthurs Seat.

They had a ball and it was a great day. Here are some pics.

Blaine lost his 1st tooth. To cut a long story short, he was elbowed in the month about a week ago at holiday program by a girl and made his tooth loose. The tooth fairy was very generous because it was his 1st tooth and he looked after it so she left him a letter and a certificate and $5.

So to celebrate this milestone, Me, Blaine and my nephew Damon spent the dat at the MCG. We did the tour which was really interesting and was a bit of a buzz to get into the training room, change rooms, media rooms, everywhere I must say it was pretty cool. We then went to the National Sports Museum and that was good too. We had a picnic dinner on the grass of the MCG and the boys had a kick of the footy. The weather was nice and we had a really good day.

We also celebrated my Neices 11th birthday with a BBQ at Nans and wow it was so nice to sit and eat and do absolutely nothing. Happy Birthday KAYLEIGH I hope you had a great day.

Another birthday that I help celebrate last week was my friend Michele. She is always exercising and watching her weight so I got her a lettuce cake (don't worry I got a white mud cake for the rest of us...lol). I also got her a tiara and a mirror for work so she can play princess. Glad she saw my humour.

So thats what I have been up to. Its taken me 4 days to do this post cos I have come down with a throat infection and wow has it knocked me for a sixer. I must say I feel better atm but that could be the drugs talking...lol

Anyway that's what Ive been up to. Until my next update stay safe and keep on chatting.xxx

Sore looser

As some of you may have read in my last post, Blaine has an obsession with AFL football. Well today was grand final day between Geelong Cats and St Kilda Saints. It doesn't matter what teams are playing, Blaine will always back a team and barrack like he would his own. Well today he was barracking for the saints. It was an awesome game and on the edge of your seat until the last second of the match. Well the Cats won and Blaine was hysterical. There was no chance of calming him down and he was an absolute mess. Yep I took pics at the start just to show you all what a sore looser looks like.

Well this went on for so long, and I lost it. Poor kid.... I should learn that Autistic kids have obsessions and have high emotions but yet like all kids, they tend to take you to a point you wish you never went to. Well after a while I got him calmed down and his poor little bum wasnt red anymore and we had another discussion about winning and loosing and how life goes.
He must have been so upset because I started cooking dinner and thought he was really quiet. I went searching the house and found him in bed and asleep at 6.30. Poor bugger, and i feel terrible. I've been in every half hour or so giving him a kiss and watching him.
Why is it they can get into your weak points and make you crack like an egg. I tell ya, this parenting thing will be the end of me. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent. I hope your weekend is better than mine and warmer + drier too...

What a shocker I had today.

Start of the school holidays. I drop Blaine off at School Holiday Program to find the bloody council gave me the wrong fax number so they never received our booking.

Its a fully packed couple of weeks there and to be told that they can find a spot but cant participate in the activites, really got my blood boiling. I left the office girl to sort it out and went to work.

The Internet was down at work today, which really restricts what i can do at work, so that annoyed me a bit. I made the most of a bad situation and pretty much got paid to do sweet FA.

So it's time to pick up Blaine. It was a shocker on the roads so gave me time to keep cool and think of what I was going to do with Blaine for 2 weeks. So I politely asked for my cheque back and said i would get back to them to work out what i will do. I had so many people coming to me apologising and even the director asked me to come into her office, to which she couldnt apologise enough and offered my refund. Well all is sorted and Blaine has been squeezed in due to the error of the council and no i didnt take the refund, after all I just wanted it sorted out and they did everything they could. So happy thats done.

So I go in to get Blaine and I am swamped with teachers telling me Blaine has had an accident and there was a bit of blood and he cried but they think he will be fine!! This kid is accident prone I tell ya. Aparantly they were playing with balls and the girl accidently elbowed him in the mouth. He has a split gum at the front down the bottom and a couple of loose teeth. Blaine hasnt lost a tooth yet and he isnt even close to loosing 1 so that upset me a bit to think he was going to loose a tooth by being hit by a girl ( I do see the funny side). So he has stopped touching it so hopefully it heals itself and will be ok until its ready to fall out its self.

I tell ya... no rest for this wicked witch!!

So now Im watching the Brownlow (AFL best and fairest) and Blaine was tucked in bed watching it too.

I just went in to check and make sure he was asleep and tuck him in to find him like this.

Most kids hug their teddy when they go to bed, but not my kid. He hugs his footy!! the kid is obsessed. And yes, thats a Richmond Tigers tatt on his arm and if you look closely, there is a Tiger tennis ball their too. At least Xmas and Birthday is going to be easy this year.

A day at the show

Well I am buggered. I am tired, my back and feet are killing me and I'm broke.

Yesturday we went to the Melbourne Show. I haven't been for years and Blaine couldn't remember going so we trainned it in and had a day of it.
I was sure to plan ahead and have a budget which I stuck to and we had a really good day. It rained from about 5pm but we went inside to eat (now thats where your $$ goes) and left about 7.30pm.

All in all we had a really good day.

Sammi has out done her self again by running Septembers Cybercrop on Friday night.

The challenges and I dont say challenges lightly, are awesome and the bingo went off. Well done to Shaz for calling out Lingo 1st!!

There is still plenty of time to get the challenges done and upload to be in the chance to win. So why not get scrapping and get your entries in the gallery by Midnight Friday 25 September.

Sorry Ladies

I am so sorry ladies, as you can see the site is down again. But on a positive note... you can still get into the shop to spend money...hehe.
Actually Im not laughing and I have just sent the nastiest (well in my most politest voice) email to these donkey brains. I have had it! It makes me look incompitent and unproffesional. It always happens over the weekend and there is no service available over the weekend which means I have to wait until 9am Monday to have it looked at, and I pay bloody good money to these turkeys and I have had it.
So tomorrow I will be looking for a new site provider. Anybody know any good and cheaps service providers at all? I would love to hear of some so I can get this fixed ASAP.
All I can do is say sorry to you all and promise that i will get this fixed once and for all as soon as I possibly can.
On a brighter note, How gorgeous was Melbournes weather today. 10pm and its still 29 degree's and it is gorgeous. Come on spring... I cant wait.
Ohh and hows Collingwoods form. Carn the pies! I am no Collingwood supporter but damn fine job beating Adelaide!! All Vic final and I cant wait. Fingers crossed for a Geelong V Bulldogs final and go Bullies!!!
I managed to do the washing today as well as some spring cleaning and the lawns. I am hoping tomorrow is the same as today. I could really do with some outside time.
I was lucky enough tonight to have Fleur over for a catch up, was great to see her but am really looking forward to bed tonight in my nice clean fresh bed. Don't you just love getting into bed with crisp fresh clean shets. mmmm I can feel it now.

Last night was the launch of the Kaiser Q2 range being released October 1.

Suzie, Nicola, Jacqui and I took the very long (and sick for me) drive to Geelong in peak hour traffic and again stopped at the Italian/Turkish resturant we went to last time. The food is devine and really good prices but the waitress we had was a dill and forgot to put our mains in so it was a mad rush to scoff and run. They were very nice about it and gave us our breads and drinks for free.

So off we hopped to Kaiser and we turned up in perfect time. The speaches were done and the curtain was about to be dropped. Couldn't have time it better my self. We got to have a look, touch, smell and feel of all the new goodies. I can tell you 3 of the ranges are Christmas, 1 is travel, 1 is girly and 1 is boys. Nicola and Jacqui thought they were in Kaiser heaven especially when they got to shop at wholesale prices. Our show bags weren't as good as last time but hey, anything for nothing is always good... Sadly it was 1 per shop so sorry to the girls, I know they really wanted 1 each.

We stopped back at the resturant for coffee and cake and then headed home for another long drive. Can you believe we were in traffic at midnight??? road works on the freeway is never a good thing especially on a Friday night. The night was full of laughs and I don't know about the others but I had a ball. Thanks girls for a fantastic night.

Here are some happy snaps from our trip away.

Us at movieworld. The stunt show was very loud but awesome to watch. Blaine had his photo taken with Shrek, Scooby and Mum with Batman. We also went on the wild west ride and I screamed twice.

Australia Zoo was our next park to see. Even though it was about a 2 hour drive there the place was just beautiful. We went to the crocosium and watch the bird in flight and feeding the crocs. Blaine and i had our pic taken with a croc and got to pat a few of our native Australian animals. We even got to feed the elephants. I loved that experience. But I have to say the tiger exhibit was our favourite. We could have sat for hours and watched them.

Our favourite park is Dreamworld.So much to see and do and we had a ball. Blaines favourite ride is the log ride and I think we went on it 4 or 5 times not including all the other rides we went on. We got to pat a tiger which was awesome and Blaine met Sponge Bob and Patrick as well as Tommy too.

Tiger Island is amazing, its so good to see what these gorgeous animals can do. We also got to hold a Koala, wow they are heavy but so cuddly and adorable.

Seaworld was our last park and our last day. Blaine thought he lost me at one stage and i couldnt help to take his picture just to remind him why he shouldnt run off. He got to meet the sesame street gang and he thought the dolphins were amazing. Next time we will swim with them.

So thats our happy snaps... Wish I was there now!!!

No rest for the wicked

Well what a couple of weeks I've had. I finally went on holidays to Queensland. The weather was perfect and it was just what Blaine and I needed. While I was away the site crashed and got hacked but thankfully it is all safe, up and running now .
While away we went to Movie world, Dream world, Sea world and Australia Zoo. We did things like pat a crocodile and a tiger, feed and elephant and hold a koala. We had fabulous cheap food everynight and was so nice not having to cook and the only decision to be made is how I wanted my steak cooked.
Friday 1am I got a phone call from my neighbour saying my house had been broken into. I was a mess and felt so useless that I was so far away and couldnt do anything about it. Luckily for my neighbour, Aunty and the landlord my house was looked after. They managed to steal Blaines Motorbike as well as my jewelery. About $4000 in total.
When I got home Tuesday night I opened the garage door, saw things moved, shut the door and went next door so they could come with me. I was terrified and have felt on edge ever since,.
Im not sure if I will stay or move on as my lease is due to be renewed. Something I will sleep on for a little while I think.
So there you go...... so much for a relaxing holiday. I have managed to do little to nothing over the last couple of days and plan on doing the same the weekend as well.
Back to footy tomorrow and work Monday, so not looking forward to that.
A new competition is starting next week on the site so make sure you register.

computer help - urgent

Hi girls,

Not sure if your having problems with the forum, but I am having "DISCUSSIONS" with gate 13 about the speed of the forum and gallery as well as the maintance and upgrade of v-bulletin.
They tell me the v-bulletin is a third party and this is what runs my forum and gallery and said that what I pay them for is for hosting and the shopping cart, not the rest. So they have sugested for me to run an update, well I have just spent heaps of time trying to work how to do this and have no clue at all. I cant even find an email address or a help section that i can ask about it and after my last email to gate 13 it seems to be 'not working' so I wonder if my email has anything to do with it.... coinsidence??? dont know but im screwed if this cant be fixed quickly,.
I cant afford at the moment to have the site re-designed etc..... and wonder how the hell I can get the forum and gallery up to working speed and who can look at it for me.
SO I ASK FOR YOUR HELP...... does anybody know a computer tech that would be able to help me for love ....xxxx I wonder if any of you know a host that could tell me what it would cost to have my account transfered and have maintained by somebody else.... i really need urgent help.... HELP PLEASE

Wow, 2 weeks since my last post... Been a bit slack I think and really tired.

1 week and we are on holidays and I am hanging out for a break of eating, drinking and doing sweet FA!! I am so looking forward to getting life back on track.... I feel like I am chasing my tale all the time and as soon as I stop I sleep... but i feel I can't catch up..When I get back from holiday's its time to loose weight... Anyway, enough whinging....

Last weekend I had the gorgeous Hetty stay with us for the weekend. She is just as beautiful IRL as she is in the cyberworld and I feel so lucky to have her as a friend.

Poor Hetty had this dim witt pick her up from the airport. She was in arrivals and stupid me was in departures.... Friday, peek hour and plenty of abuse I finally found her and we headed home. We stopped to eat and then sat and chatted until the wee hours of the morning.

Saturday was a cold adventure for Hetty's 1st Auskick experience.... A Chai latte and snag in bread was worth the bribe :O

We headed home to scrap for a couple of hours, then Hetty went off with Sharon for some scrap shopping while Blaine and I attended an appointment.

Saturday night a bunch of us went out for Indian. Here are some pics of our night.

Sunday was crop day @ Officer and it was the best turn out so far. Thank you all for coming and making crop day heaps of fun.

Poor Hetty had to catch the 5am airport bus so off we trotted to wait for the bus. Not so bad for me cos I went back to bed but buggered if I would want to catch a bus that early. I hope you had a good time lovely.

The DT applications close this Friday 31 July.

Schools back

Well school is back, and no more sneeky little sleep ins for me, well not for the next 3 weeks any way. We are off to the gold coast for a holiday soon and I am really looking forward to seeing some sun.

Blaine has settled really well back at school and I had his PTI 2day and the teacher said he has improved and things are getting better by the day, which I guess every parent wants to hear.

My rush with tax time is over at work, so now just making sure everything is running smoothly before I take some time off.

Plenty of house work thou to get through before the lovely Hetty arrives Friday. Its going to be a really busy weekend but im really looking forward to kicking back with a gorgeous bunch of girls Saturday night for dinner and Sunday at the crop. If you are local and you would like to come to either or both, drop me a line and I will be only too happy to give you the details.

The July cybercrop was run on Saturday night and is still open until Sunday. The theme was Seasons and 3 challenges to be completed. Check out the forum for all of the details.

Hi again and i hope every body is doing well.

School holidays here in Melbourne and wet cold and windy too. Hetty, your going to experience a real Melbourne winter, but at least the curry will warm us up.

I have been so tired lately and havent done a thing with scrapping. Even the site is quiet with holidays so i hope that picks up excitiement soon. Starting to feel a bit lost to be honest.

Even the mojo has gone on holidays too.

I pulled a muscle in my chest this week and my boss ordered in a masuse (sp?). Well I get a deep tissue masage in my chest sides and back and i tell you i can hardly move. I am black and blue and sore all over. Hopefully it settles in the next day or so but i tell with the chest I have, the bounce does not help!! Definetely time to get off my fat rear and loose some weight. Back to my old weight (damn) so off exercise bike shopping tomorrow...

I have to say congrats to my coles buddy Sam who had a little girl on Wednesday, Chevie Rose.... Congrats honey and so glad to hear your both doing well.

Busy busy busy at work.... tax time but suprisingly I have done the tax changes, the group certificates, superannuations, Sydney acccounts so all I have to do now is Melbourne accounts and filing and archieving. I think I suprised myself. lol

well thats been my boring week. I hope yours has been a little more exciting.

Ohh and got confirmed diagnosis for Blaine last week. Aspergers which I was told earlier... so down to the last of testing and hopefully we can settle down soon and get on with life. Come on September!!

Financial year and OMG what a shocking time of year it is for me.

My busy time started yesturday and will go right through until the end of July but the only good thing about this time of year is TAX REFUND (as I rub my gready little hands together). If your anything like me you have a TAX TIME WISH LIST and this year my list is...
A holiday
A new Entertainment Unit
and a new computer (probably a lap top)
Well the holiday is booked and we are heading to Qld the 1st week of August. I've just got to book my flights this week and save some spending $$ and here we come. We will be there for a week and plan on going to Dreamworld, Movieworld and Australia Zoo. We went 4 years ago (yep my last real holiday) and we did all the parks and I needed a holiday to get over it. So this time we plan on spending some time for R'n'R and take in some sights. If all goes well when we get home we will hit the ski slopes and have a few days in the snow. It will be nice to switch off for a while I think.
Lets hope the Tax man is nice to me this year.
I have been planinng my sisters 30th birthday party for this weekend and I will be glad when I can get back to some normality. Balloons and cake ordered, food sorted, present done now, all I need now is people to come. Bloody family I tell ya!! but thats another story.
On the weekend I took photo's of my sisters family as she didnt have any recent photo's so here they are.

Friday night Julie Heard came down from Rocky and we had dinner. Julie, Ange and I went to Positano's in Hallam and oh yummy it was fantastic. Fantastic food, very fast service and a lovely night. Im just sorry that it was only the 3 of us and others couldn't come. It was great to see Julie again and catch up and she is looking amazing.

Saturday was crop day. Only 4 and yep disappointing again but the company was fantastic. Next month the crop will be on a Sunday, 19 July and the 1 and only Hetty Hall will be there as well as the Kaiser Q1 product samples and launch. While Hetty is here, we are going out for Indian on Saturday night. Pop on to the forum for more details and I would love to see you there.

Sunday was a run around day but I did manage to pop into Sharons for her stamping up party. Was good to catch up and I even got to see the cave and oh my lordy, this girl definetely doesnt need to buy another scrapbook product for the rest of her life but shhh!!! she is a great customer ;)...hehe

I have completed a couple of OTP products from the Kaiser Q1 release and will share soon. New stock should arrive any day now. If you would like a sneeky, PM me and i will try getting some images to you asap.

Well its been a week of mixed emotions I tell you.
Back to work Tuesday after a long weekend isn't fun, and even though I had a day off I still wanted more.
I went to the dentist on Tuesday after a 7 year gap and I tell you I was very nervous on what he may have said, but I was in and out in 10 minutes with sparkly clean white teeth and an OK for the next 6 months and $125 less later. Wow arent they expensive.
Wednesday we were out for dinner with the X. It was pleasent and NO NO NO!!!! no reconsiliation, not on your life!!! so dont get started.
Thursday Suzie and I headed to Geelong for the Q1 launch at Kaiser. We got there early so we had dinner at a little Italian/Turkish resturant and it was delisious!!! So it was time to hit Kaiser. We were 2 little girls in a candy store. It was launch time and all I have to say is WOW!!! The designs and aditionals are so cleverly designed and to see them IRL compared to the mag has really got me excited. I hope it gets you all excited too. After rubbing shoulders with the owners, managers and designers it was time to go home, as we were walking out the door they handed us bags of goodies. I couldn't wait until i could dive in and we were blown away. We got the new collection.... Suzie and I are jumping up and down like little school girls squeeling with excitement. What an awesome night. I hope they do it more ofter cos I will be there!!!

Finally Friday and Blaine had correction day and I was off to work. After a hard day in the office I stayed with Mum and had chinese for dinner then off home for a very early night (for me anyway) cos I was so tired. Saturday morning was Auskick the grocery shopping, home for a few hours and the off to Camberwell for a Specialist Appt for Blaine. We got home late that night so was nice to get home.

I however did chuck a tanty on the site on Saturday, so for those who I may have upset, please except my apologies, it was never ment to offend anybody. I was just venting because I was so tired and felt that the amount of time I spend on the site and make it what i can to keep everybody happy doesnt seem to work... so yep this little black duck dove of the deep end!! I am sorry.

Today was house cleaning and my old mate 'flaps' finally came over with his girlfriend for 2 years to introduce her. Mind you I havent seen him in 5 years but we talk all the time. Was so good to see him and she is lovely. It was so good to see him so well especially after a major operation a little while ago moving cancer from his face. Nasty.

So here I am now. Wrapped in a towel after a hot bath. Im dying to get stuck into the new Kaiser stuff but i have a few things to do.

You may have read that I was in search of a 'Cybercrop Queen', well Saturday the Queen was crowned. Congratualtions to........................... (see post below)

Queens birthday long weekend... yippee!!!

Don't you just love a long weekend? I do and it's lunch time and I am still in my PJ's.... and loving it...

It's been a busy couple of weeks balancing work, business and doctors appointments but we got through our 1st week and only 5 more weeks to get through with appointments and hopefully I can get a bit of normality back. Im hoping to take some holidays in August after the rush and chaos of the financial year so fingers crossed it all goes as planned. I haven't had a holiday in 4 years so really need 1 so I can kick back and relax. I really need to do a spring clean too so might take an extra week to plod around the house and clean out cupboards etc... Look out QLD cos I'm coming...

This weekend we are running our June cybercrop. The theme this month is MONOCHROMATIC. I have had a ball doing this crop and have completed all my challenges already which is a 1st for me in a very long time. There was 4 rounds, sketch, card, OTP and layout. The crop doesnt close until Friday so why not pop in here and check out the challenges for your chance to win a voucher.

Here are my 4 attempts. I chose BROWN to be my colour of attack.

I know sometimes this is hard but I also believe do to others as you would want done to you. I guess it's the same as blogs. I do try and pop in at least once a week to read your blogs and when I read 99% of the time i will leave a comment. Same rule in my opininon. After all, we are all cyber sisters all here for the same reasons.... So as my wacky brother would say "WHERE"S THE LOVE?"

Sorry I haven't updated sooner, I didn't realise I hadn't done my weekly update so I guess this 1 will be 2 weeks worth so beware it could be a long one...

Last week was kind of quite and back to normal routine. No appointments, at work and not a lot happening on the site which is really sad. I have made the lovely Sammi my shadow on site to help me out with bits and pieces so if you need anything, please contact Sammi and myself and we will do the best to help you. Now just on the quiet....shhhhhh.... there could be a new DT call coming up so keep your eyes and ears opened for that 1.

So what have we been upto, apart from the usual chaos in every day life, not a lot.

Blaine had his Book Fair Parade on Friday and it was a Jarrasic Theme, so off we went to spotlight to create a costume and he picked what he wanted so the challenge was on. I made him a pterodactyl costume, all bright and shiney. It was also grandparents day so my mum went to school with him and his class made pizza's in the wood oven they made last year as well as pom poms while they waited. It turned out to be a great day, especially morning tea.... we all donated to the Cancer Councils Morning Tea and had lots of yummy cakes and biscuits to choose from. Blaine's mate Josh came as a caveman and he looked awesome. Michele did a great job of his costume... well done Michele. here are a few snapshots from the day.

Our weather in Melbourne has been really cold and a few days last week made it to a top of 13 degree's. The morning drive to work is shocking with the pea soup we have to drive through. Here is a picture from Friday morning. This was take about 10.30am so had started to clear but you get the idea.

So as you can see it has been great scrapping weather, just a shame i havent been able to get into it. I have been so tired lately and would love to have a nanna nap right now...hehe

Yesturday was our 1st Scrapbook CAPITAL crop day. There was only 5 of us but it was a really relaxing day and we all got heaps done. The hall was a great size, warm and comfortable so really looking forward to the next 1 which is Saturday 20th June. Plenty of room, and only $10 per head. Check out the forum for all the details. I managed to get my 30th kaiser album done for my sisters birthday. Just have to add photos and that all done. Here is a snap of yesturday.

A last minute decision, and off we went to the Richmond/Essendon night match. Richmond had a great 1st half and died in the end. I think we will be giving the footy a miss for a while until Richmond pulls their heads out of their a***es . Anyway we must have had the worst seats ever and we were on the 4th level. The 1st quarter Blaine and I sat so still cos we were so scared the stand was going to collapse or we were going to fall off we were so high up. It was a match we should have stayed home and watched on TV. We trained it in and out and Blaine slept all the way home. It was a very late night and was so glad to be home.

A bit of a sleep in this morning, I've just had a shower and back in my pj's, dinner is on. A bit of scrapping tonight and an early night tucked up and warm under the doona.... Oh yeah I can hear my bed calling me now. Well thats about it for me this time round. Until next time stay safe and keep on chatting.

Hi everybody and Happy Mothers Day to you all.

I've had a lovely day today. Blaine helped me make some breakfast and I got loads of "mothers day stall" gifts too as well as a beautiful hand made card.

Today we also celebrated Maddys 7th birthday at Hungry Jacks. Kid's seemed to have a good time and I tempted a cup cake tree. Very average but apparently they were yum and they all got eaten so happy about that.

Home again to finish off some scrapping for Mum's MD pressie and CC challenges. This is what i have done so far.

Mum, Blaine and I headed to Chinese for dinner. It was so yummy and so filling too. After dinner we had ice cream from Cold Rock then headed home to warm up with a blanket on the couch. Here is a few photo's from last night.

It's all about Blaine...

Sorry girls for being out of sorts lately. I have had something that has been bugging me and it's not going to go away and I'm hoping if it's out in the open I might start to feel better.
My little man was diagnosed last week with Aspergus Syndrome. He was assessed and diagnosed immediately by a proffessor and I think because it was so quickly it has been a slap in the face.
I have a niece and nephew that both have it and a cousin, so when it was spoken about, it was never for me to point the finger and say yep thats him too. I actually thought he was a normal 6 year old that bounced off the walls and was emotional because it has only been me and him from day 1. But sadly not the case.
Last week was a trip back to the Peadiatrtian to which he has also diagnosed him with ADHD. This poor kid has not only 1 thing to deal with, he has 4. He has started medication so time will tell I suppose, but they make him feel a bit sick so who knows whats next.
So our next few months are in and out of doctors and specialists, teacher interviews not to mention the norm of work, sports etc....
So here I am spilling it all, blaming my self due to the emotional pregnancy I had with him after the husband left and I feel tired... so so tired. I look in the mirror and see a fat, aging, lazy mother that needs to get it together for her childs sake. I was vacuuming the floor and burst into tears and I think it has all just hit me. Can somebody hit the pause button for me...PLEASE.
I don't think me spilling it has made me feel better but there you have it. We will be fine, a well deserved holiday is needed and time out for the both of us. So thanks for listening and sorry for burding you all with my crap, I figure the few that read this are my friends so thanks for the ears.

May is here, and so is Winter. There's snow in them there hills (in my best yo Sammity Sam voice) but have to say I'm loving the snuggling under the doona and my big fluffy sox....

Blaine started Auskick today and he did ok.... after he got over all the excitement they had a bit of a game and he kicked a goal..... He was so excited and he really suprised me. he went hard at the ball and really got in there and had a go. I think he will be a good little player once he settles down and gets to know the rules. Here are a few little snaps from today.

The rest of the day has been just doing little things around the house and lazing on the couch, gee it was nice... and here is Blaine chillin' out...

Haven't done much scrapping but plan on tackling something tonight. Sandie has week 3 up on her blog and Sharon has put up round 4 for the BIU competition so I have that to do as well. Also have a look at the May sketch at Scrap Cap..... That's another on the to do list...

Alicia the puppy left last night and went to my sisters house and Zoe (pup no: 2) is going to my Uncles tomorrow, so back to me, Blaine and Lilly and about a ton less dog poo over the lawn... Its sad to see them go but luckily they are going to good homes. I still think the Lee house hold needs a puppy with all those cats... Next litter... hehehe....

We have had a flat out week and next week wont be much better. Blaine has a few things going on atm so hopefully we can get it all sorted but looks as if its going to take a bit of time to do so, so hopefully we can take some time out and chill. I'm going to plan a weekend trip to the snow in the next couple of weeks, so I will pop up pics when we go.

ANZAC weekend...

Well it's ANZAC weekend and no not a long weekend here in Vic. It has been a miserable weekend.... cold, wet and really really windy. A good weekend to stay inside and do nothing.

Actually, I think thats all I did... nothing, well not exactly.

After laundry, some maintance on the website (which always takes hours to do) I managed to mow the lawn before the skies opened up. Last night I finally made the cards for the swap at Scrap CAP while watching Richmond finally win a game. Poor Blaine tried to stay awake but fell asleep 3rd quarter and didnt see the end. 1st thing he asks this morning, did Tigers win? and did they sing the song? poor bloke. would have been nice to see him get all excited.

Well Blaine starts Auskick next weekend so cold, wet early mornings for me but I guess thats what us Mums do...

Today I spent the arvo at Lynnes with a lovely bunch of ladies at a stamping up party. Thanks Lynne for a lovely day and helping me spend more $$$. I must say there are some very nice things that I have circled in the catty that i will aim to get. Sharon is having a party in June 21st, so if you want anything give me, Fleur or Sharon a call.

I have made quiet a few cards this week but nothing exciting to share.

I have to thank all the girls that came to my postie party last Wednesay. I really appreciated it.

This week seems to be full on before it starts... Dentist Monday, back to the Paediatritian Wednesday, Swimming Thursday, Im sure there is something on Friday but for the life of me can't think of it now... Footy Saturday and that im sure will keep me out of trouble.

Well I think the week after Easter is always a shocker and it always goes slow. Well it was a shocker and definetely felt very slow and couldnt wait until it was over.

Well the weekend finally arrived and Friday night was my big date. Blaine and I went out for dinner to the Pancake Parlour then to the movies to see 'Fast and Furious' and OMG it was fully sick!!! I am busting to talk to somebody about it and I can't wait until NO:5 is out... yep another to follow.... it was awesome and can't wait to get it on DVD. Saturday was a quiet day home and today well I finally took Blaine to his 1st AFL game and watch Richmond loose again. He was devistated at the end with tears and all. Here are some pics of our day out. Must say it was a really nice day out thou....

So all in all, it was a really nice weekend to spend with my little man.

On the Scrapbook side of things I have been on the make and create, cards mostly.

At the moment Sandie is running a Monday Morning Alphabet Soup, so i have created a very basic card with an animal on it for the letter A. Tomorrow she will set a new challenge so pop in and have a look.

BIU2 round 2 was up at Scrapbook Capital on Friday and this time you had to create with printed paper and a punch. I created another card. Here they are.

I feel like I have heaps to do but it's Sunday afterall and maybe i can't remember.

I do have to say congratualtions to J@zzii aka Maria for winning the peoples vote for this months Cybercrop. Well done Maria, your stuff was sensational.

I have everything crossed that all the new stuff I ordered arrives this weeks and their is heaps of it.

Hoppy Easter!!!

I hope you all have a beautiful Happy Easter with lots of choccy and smiling kids.

Well I must say this long weekend I really needed. Friday was spent at home in PJ's doing didly squat apart from scrapping, a tiny little bit of house work and eating. Was so good to have some me time. Saturday we spent another day in PJ's and I finally got the fundraising letters printed so they can go out Tuesday. Fingers crossed we get lots of support. Saturday night we went bowling with my brother and his family as well as Michele and Josh. Bowled the worst game ever but was great to get out and do something for Easter. Here are some pics of the night.

Over night the Easter Bunny hoped into our house and left might big white foot prints everywhere as well as a half eaten carrot. This morning Blaine woke up to a house full of Choccy eggs. He was very lucky and got a few presents too from me and his Dad. Here is a few pics from this morning.

So after Blaine had a choccy egg for breaky, we headed off to the Carrabean Market where we had proffiteje (spl?) beside the lake and watched to model speed boats and wow how fast do they go. My brother and sister in law and the kids met us there and we walked around, did a bit of shopping and then had some lunch. Blaine had some birthday money to spend so brought a chip for his DS and I haven't heard from him all arvo. After lunch we came home just to nothing. More visitors, more Easter Eggs and dinner and bath has been had so time to sit back and relax. Tomorrow I plan another day of nothing much and enjoy my last day off until I have to go back to work Tuesday. Looking forward to Friday, Blaine and I are going on a date with each other for dinner and a movie and can't wait. We are off to see "Fast and Furious 4", yep big rev head fan.

It was my Mum's birthday yesturday and she turned 57. I had her over for dinner with family and 10 of us had a lovely time. Nothing like roast with all the trimmings and to top it off, yummy mud cake and cream DELISH........... I got her a twighlight book, hand made bookmark and the memo board I made and displayed here a little while ago.

It took me so long to clean once everybody left but its all done now and leaves me to relax for the long weekend. 1 more day of work and 4 days off... woohoo...

Tonight I went to La Porchetta with Scott and Anna and the kids from next door, and you know when your eyes are too big for your belly... well I have eaten so much I feel sick...

Nothing really exciting happening around here. I am officially looking for a new job. Time to move on and the place has gone through some huge changes and its just not big enough for all of us anymore. So fingers crossed for me girls and hope I get the job Im looking for.

Friday was cross country at Blaines school and wow what a difference in results from last year. This year Blaine actually knew whar a race was and he went for it. My little champ come second in the 6 year old boy section and I was proud as punch. Sadly I didnt see it but his Dad was there and he was able to ring me at work and tell me all about it. Here he is with his silver medal.

To celebrate little speedys win we went to Grill'd and boy they have the best burger and chips in the world. We had dinner and then went shopping. I had a PS2 on layby that I finally picked up so we headed home to set it up and play singstar. We played until almost midnight.... time just flew by. So I tucked Blaine into bed and thought I mught just have a little go myself. OMG 2.30 AM and I could of played for hours.

Saturday was house cleaning day, then the arvo I spent a Sam's place for a bodyshop party. On the way home was grocery shopping and take away then home for another round of singstar and some scrapping. I managed to put together a Kaiser Memo Board for the up and coming Fair this week at Blaine's school. Here is how it turned out.

Sunday we puffed around the house in the morning and shopped in the arvo. All Ive done this weekend was shop... (thanks Kev ;) ), but I did manage to get 1 CJ done and working on the other now.... all done... woohoo.

For those in the area, Officer Primary have a country Fair on this Friday from 3.15 - 7pm. Come and enjoy some fun, I will be there so make sure you pop over and say hi.

A puppy update: - Day 12 - They opened their eyes today, they are gorgeous and I want to keep them. Will take more pics later on to show off the balls of fluff. Lots of tears and a little bit of creativity

Well yesturday I spent most of the day doing housework and the evening beside my dog and her puppies. 1 of the puppies wasnt eating and was a different colour to the others, so I tried and tried to get this tiny little bundle eating. But nothing. About midnight last night the poor little mite "tinkerbell" died in my arms. I sat for about an hour crying my eyes out and i felt helpless and responsible. After a late night I went to sleep and woke up this morning to find another puppy had died over night. I was so sad and started worring about the other 2. So after an hour drive to RSPCA I had them checked over. Puppy 1 weighs 260 grams and looks fine but her cord has ripped from her belly so she has a nasty sore that I have to clean through out the day and give her antibiotics. "Thumper" (this puppy is the biggest and boy does she eat) weighs 360 grams and is a bill of health. Im just hoping these 2 little mites will be ok and annoying the crap out of me soon.

Last night Blaine went to the circus with his Paternal Nan and cousins Thomas and Luke. This was a big 1st for him as he has never spent time with her and has only just reunited with his cousins. I had some mixed feelings about this but he came home, said he had a good time but missed me so that made me feel better. Here are a couple of photos he came home with..

After the trip to the vet I created some new Connector Kids OTP from Kaiser to display at Blaine school fair in 2 weeks. I made school kids in Blaines school colours and I so love how they turned out.

Don't you just love a long weekend. A day at work and tomorrow is hump day already... if only every week was short like this.
Gave me a chance to do some scrapping and for the 1st time in ages managed to get all the cybercrop challenges done. Here is what i created this weekend.

Shake rattle and roll

Well what an exciting night. Tonight was Scrap Caps CYBERCROP and as always, its a great time for a chat. So here I am chatting away and the place shakes, and I mean shake..... A few magic words and the fear of life to realise we are having an earthquake!! 4.7 on the scale and scared the life out of me. Luckily no damage or injury so very lucky we all are.
There are 4 new CC challenges in the forum to check out. Complete any or all of these challanges to be in the draw to win a voucher. Entries need to be in the gallery by midnight this Tuesday.
Well a terrible week at work and I am over it. I have started job hunting and hopefully I can find something part time in the merchandising or accounts sector. Definetely time for a holiday too. I will be checking out a few things over the weekend and see where our wings takes us.
Thank god its a long weekend. I think I need the extra day to chill and kick back. We are supposed to be going to adventure Park in Geelong but not sure if i will make it yet. The cost I heard is rather steep.

Well a very quiet weekend here, not a lot but house work, paperwork today a tiny bit of scrapping, playing Uno with Blaine and eating...... I ate way too much and the scales sure told me that too. I feel like a yoyo.... Up and down and not consistant. Doesnt matter if I watch what I eat or exercise it seems to go the same no matter what I do. I guess I just have to ride the wave so to speak and hope it decides to move soon.

I managed to make a birthday card for my neighbour for her birthday today... Happy Birthday Anna, and I finally completed the 1st round of the CJ theme comp as well.... 1 down, 9 to go...

The Berwick Show was on over the weekend and even though we didnt go I promised Blaine we would go watch the fire works. So off we go last night and waited and waited and waited and a big disappointment... NO FIREWORKS. I am guessing it's because we had a fire the night before very close to the show grounds and they called it off due to the hire fire risk. Understandable but would have been nice to know IYKWIM. Looks as if Tuesday and maybe Wednesday will be another high risk day so maybe no school again. Better safe than sorry I guess.

Well the last 2 weeks have quietly slipped by without notice and nothing exciting happening. Apart from a few close bush fires to create conversation, nothing has seemed to have happened.

Blaine had a fire safety day off yesturday, so he spent it with his nan for the day. He is back to swimming and doing really well. He also started tutouring last week during school to help with his reading. Hopefully he will be up to scratch soon. Im sure he is getting bigger by the day as well. By the time he is 8 he will be bigger than me....

I plan on doing some scrapping this weekend, fingers crossed. I did manage a layout over the last fortnight and here it is.

Another week cruises by....

Well not a lot to report this week. It has been a quiet and somber week getting through the worst fires ever and overwhelmed with lots of smoke but we will all get through it.
On the scales 7 weeks gone by and Ive lost 4 kilo's. Its a start and cant really tell but I will keep going and aim for my 1st 10 kilo's. I can't remember the last time I weighed in the 80's so I know I have my work cut out.
Blaine and I walk/ride every day and it's good for him to get and and spend some 1 on 1 time too.
Saturday Fleur came over and had a stampin up demonstration. Thanks to Fleur as well as Sharon, Lynne and Michele for tagging along. Big thanks to Shaz, Lynne and Michele also for donating their cards as well as a cash donation towards the Bushfire card collection Sandie has organised. Today was a couple of games of 10 pin bowling with Blaine and I and then a really nice walk around the lake. I even managed to create a layout.... not fantastic but at least its got the mojo flowing.

Hot Frightening and on Fire!!!

We have had the weekend of hell with plenty of emotions running through.

After last weeks 40+ heat wave Saturday we experience the hottest day ever in Victoria, 48 degree's and I tell you it was so dry and hot with a humitidy of only 5% which is dessert weather.

We have been in drought for while now and everything is so so dry.

With these conditions you can only guess there will be fires but nothing I could have imagined. I live in Officer / Beaconsfield which is where Ash Wednesday hit 25 years ago and even though I was a teenager at the time, I remember how terrible it was, but now living in that area you suddenly become very weiry and alert of every weather condition. It's the sounds of sirens and the eerky smoke coming across your home you start getting that worried feeling and its then you start stalking the CFA site and have the TV and radio on as long as you can. When the power goes off you know its not great and you hear that Pakenham (the next suburb) is on fire and there is nothing you can do but to be alert, be prepared and wait.

Hose at the ready, buckets filled just incase of spot fires but really I felt useless and looked around me and thought I am surround by dry arid land and if it goes then I go.

We were very very lucky and the fires in our local area, Pakenham, Koo Wee Rup and Narre Warren were controlled. At 1 stage I looked out the window and absolutely shit myself, then trying to get on to friends in the direct line and can't and the reports coming through just frighten the life out of you. I sat and watched the news in tears feeling helpless and it wasnt until my BF finally rang to say she was ok that I was an absolute emotional wreck. They were evacuted and have no idea even now if they have anything to go home to. I wish her the best and hope she and her family will be ok, as well as the other mates I have in the area. Been thinking of you all and can't wait to wrap my arms around you and know you are safe. We still have fires burning out of control and hope the CFA and volunteers get them controlled asap. I would never hope that anybody experience anything like it and to those poor poor people that have lost loved ones, oh my god my heart goes out to you. These pictures were taken Sunday night from my front door after the control, beautiful but very scary knowing why IYKWIM.

Here is Blaine on the 1st day of grade 1 today. He wasn't that fussed really, it was like old hack to him. He looks like a rat bag doesn't he... Looks as if he's already been at school for the day but nope, scruffy and all that's my boy!!! There is only 2 kids from last years class with him and it was so cute this morning because the 3 of them held on so tight to each other as they walked into their new class rooms. Aparently they spent the day with each other but i guess it will take a few days to settle with the new faces especially being with the big grade 2' s. Blaine has just turned 6 and these grade 2 kids are up to 9 so hopefuly that will be a positive too. Well thats it from me tonight so take it easy and i will chat again soon. Back from holidays...

What a hot hot week... 40+ temps all week and a pretty shade of lobster red.... Remind me when Blaine puts sunscreen on to wear a shirt too. I have such a sore shoulder blade along the bra strap area because the little bloke missed it, and even 4 days later is still very tender. The Aussie sun is so harsh and these temperatures are killers. On top of the heat and fighting fires because num nuts like to start fires for kicks..... God i would like to string them up by their balls and slowly burn them..... Don't get me started....

Well we spent 4 days at Lakes Entrance. We spent the most of the day in the caravan with the poor air con struggling to keep to 30 degrees, then late arvo in the pool to cool down. We looked like drown rats by the time it was dinner. We ended up eating out for lunch in air con pubs and the food was fantastic. Especially the floating resturant. The food was sensational and apart from the waves and the initial motion sickness feeling, was fantastic and would go back for sure. Last night i spent peeling fresh prawns and digging out oysters... oh yummo.... A few trips to the ice cream parlour and some night walks along the beach because it was so hot during the day. I really needed the break. I could go back and do nothing for another week i think but about 10 degrees cooler would have been nice. i brought home some mud crads and will cook them up tomorrow night with some black bean sauce and fried rice tomorrow night... yummo. Will be sure to take a pic of the mess i make while eating...lol.

Lakeside Family Day

What a ball..... Michele, Josh, Blaine and I spent yesturday afternoon at lakeside family day. The kids got to meet Ben 10 and we then walked around the lake and stopped at the park. We went to Viola's for dinner... Oh my lordy, sensational and the meals were massive...So were the toblerones.... yummo!!! We were all sooooo full we rolled back to the lake and set up ground to spend the rest of the night watching bands and waiting for fire works. The kids really shook it up all night long and we were laughing, singing and just being real dills as you can see in the pics. A little sunburnt but all in all a really great night. It was so good to get out and enjoy some fresh air and some really good food. Can't wait until the next 1 now!!!

Look Mum!!! No training wheels......

Yep my little frog is now a big boy and can ride without training wheels. I am a very proud Mummy even though Wednesday when I was trying to teach him I thought I would go nuts. Lets just say Mummy's patience by 8 o'clock on a hot day isn't very good. We went for our nightly walk and while riding his bike, Blaine broke his 1 and only training wheel on a gutter. I thought it was a perfect time to get him off them anyway now my big boy is 6 so the rest of the way I ran and held him and boy what a work out. We finally made it to the park which as a slight hill and I let him go. He stayed on and I thought thats it.... So a couple more runs and he had it..... Off he went and no stopping him now. Thursday night we walked Berwick Springs Lake and wow I didn't realise how big that was. We came home, had a bath and we were both asleep within 5 minutes of finishing the bath. Last night we will battled another track. This time was lakeside and wow how nice. I could see myself living there right by the lake. Here is my clever boy in action.

After our walk last night we brought home Lilly and headed back to Lakeside where they had pictures in the park. They were showing Beverely Hills Chiuahua and was pretty good with a few funny bits. It was such a gorgeous night. This morning after doing a few chores, we stopped at the post office then went back to lakeside for a bit of Brunch, only cos we missed breaky :( never mind. Then we went for another lakeside walk/ride. So nice and relaxing but still having drama's with my shin. Tonight at lakeside they have a meet and greet with Ben 10 and a U2 cover band then fire works. Iwill be sure to carry the camera if we go. Its hot out there

Well Melbourne sure got a taste of Summer this week. Monday was mid 30's and Tuesday as high as 42 in some parts and boy was it sticky. A bit nicer today but back in the 30's for the rest of the week. Hopefully the good weather hangs around next week when Im on holidays.... woohoo.... A week off and this week is going so so so slow.

Blaine and I braved the heat Monday night with my cousin Eloise and her Daughter Emilia at the Melbourne Zoo. It was even too hot for the animals cos they were all in hiding. It was really nice though especially with the gardens and took the edge off the heat. Here sre some pics from Monday.

A big congratulations to Sammi for taking out the Cybercrop members choice prize of a $15 voucher to spend in the shop. I will be working out a Cybercrop calendar soon so you can be all organised and prepared for the next 6 months. Round 2 for the CJ topic competition is about to go up in the forum. Happy 6th Birthday
BLAINE

Blaine celebrated his 6th birthday yesturday and he had a great time. He had a ten pin bowling party for his friends with a yummy Ben 10 chocolate Ice cream cake. He got some great pressies such as matchbox cars, transformers, a couple of dvd's, a cd, some cold hard cash, and an alien thingy.

Last night we also had a family party with his Nan, Aunties, a couple of his cousins and a few neighbours. We had pizza and cake (again of course) and played wii and singstar until late. More pressies such as a ds game, cd player from nanny and a cd. A couple of read a long books and a cd from Mummy including his beautiful new bed, toy trolleys and book shelf and he also got some Ben 10 stuff too. He had an amazing day and here are a few snaps from yesturday.

I had to laugh though when I was tucking him in last night when he says "Mummy, how many sleeps to Easter Bunny comes?" gee kiddo, let me get over today 1st. He is very excited being 6. He is now gone to his Dad's just for a few more presents. I think the kid has plenty. His grand parents have brought him a new bike so will be sure to show some pics as soon I can.

It's been a pretty quiet couple of weeks especially with the return to work which has been flat out. Blaine has been in holiday program and has been to the zoo, go karting, a live show and a few other activities. This is his last week and this week he has a trip the the movies. The following week I am having off so i can spend some time with him before he goes back to school to big grade 1.

At SCRAPBOOK CAPITAL the new CJ theme layout competition was launched Wednesday. There will be 10 rounds and round 1 is already underway. Why not give it a go. You might just end up winner the prize pack up for grabs.

Sand Sculpting 2009

Sand Sculpting was back at Frankston beach so Blaine and I made a day of it. After finding my keys after an hour long search (they were in the bin!!! don't ask me how or why) and school shoe shopping we headed to the beach. An expensive and not the greatest lunch at Davey's Pub along the beach we went Dinosaur hunting, and a hunting we went!!! The theme this year was Dinostory. Here is some photos of the day. Not much more to report. Yesturday was a day of lunch at the pancake parlour and library so blaine could borrow books to get back into reading before school starts. I've got Dr Rob coming over to work some computer magic tomorrow, my sister and her boyfriend for a late lunch and between both i hope to mow the lawn with my new mower. Back to work Monday..... 2009 is here

Kiss goodbye 2008 cos 2009 is here. After a very quiet night at home watching the new year come in on TV, today Blaine and I made up for it. After packing a picnic lunch we drove to Korrumburra to Coal Creek. It is a historical village, and being New Years Day, the roads were quiet and so was the village. We strolled around for hours looking at historical things from 1890. Blaine hopped on an old scale and weighed 3 stone 7 pounds. Looking at the scale for the period of the 1890's Blaine's age and weight would class him as 9 years old (keep in mind he is still only 5). There was an old gent telling us things about the coal mine and he was saying at the age of 8, boys would be sent down the mine to work. Due to the coal dust, the fuel that they used to light the mine and other factors, children dying as young as 15 due to the working conditions. He told us a boy at the age of 8 who was the size of Blaine, was sent down the mine to work. By the time he was 13 the boy had lost half his lung compacity and lived until he was 92. Just walking and looking at their living and working conditions, life even though very hard was so much simpler. I walked into their bank and wage office and i could see myself working in such an environment. If life could just slow down, take away some of the mod cods, live of the land, smell the air oh what a life that would be. I tihnk i was born in the wrong era. I think the other thing that I loved about this place was the country setting with the lakes and tree's and hills. I think i need to meet a good old country boy. I could see myself as a farmers wife, milking the cows etc.... lol... listen to me..... think I might be tired. Anyway, we had a picnic lunch, fed the ducks, took a train ride, looked around a little more then headed to Cauldermede Farm.

Here are some pics from Coal Creek. We got to the farm and walked around the animal nursery. How cute was the deer and the calves. It was so nice just to walk around, pat the animals and enjoy the country side. After a few pics, we headed into the cafe where we had iced chocolate and scones jam and cream. Oh my lordy,,, the cream was to die for and i would know, I am a cream conissure......after all i didnt get a body like this not enjoying a good old dollop of cream. We then headed over to the milking sheds. It was so interesting to watch 100´s of cows get milked by this mammoth machine and wow how quick it was to milk them. And once again it was all free (apart from the food). A long drive home (well it felt like that) we got home about 5. Blaine was sound asleep, so I popped him straight into my bed for a very much needed nap. I did all my computer bits and thought i would lie beside him and watch a bit of TV and wouldnt you know... i was also in the land of nod.
It must be time to get back into work mode.... earlier nights, house cleaned and organised, ironing done, cooking proper meals etc.... back to the crap!!! cos the crap will be back on Monday...Argghhhh!!!
Well here are some shots from the farm. Tomorrow we might hit Frankston beach to see the dinosaur sand sculptures, then to the library to get some books to get blaine reading again before he heads back to school. Im sure i will have more to read tomorrow. Until then....keep on chatting...

Time to catch up!!!

So sorry I haven't updated since now, my computer is very sick and some days won't work. Just waiting for it to go to Dr. Robs for a tickle and a tune up.

Well lets get started, 4 weeks to catch up on. Blaine is out of plaster. So happy about that. Back to bathing and dressing him self. School finishd up and Blaine is off to grade 1 next year with his same techer. He told me today he is missing her. 5 weeks to go on holidays. I am sure will get over that soon. The school had a concert on the last day and each class did a song and at the end the entire school signed to ABBA. Blaineslass did the theme song for the A-Team and dressed up like MR.T. Friday night before christmas a few of the girls on Scrap Cap met at the pub for dinner and a few drinks. It was lovely to finally meet Tracy in real life. Thanks to Ange, Lyndall, Sharon, Jacqui, and Tracy for making a great night. As you cn see Ange was in fine form.

Blaine has a birthday next month, so we did a crazy hair theme to make up his invites. Here are the results from the photo shoot.

Our family at christmas get together the weekend before due to other family commitments on christmas day. This year we had a traditional lunch all done by me at my place. Roast pork and Lamb, potatoes and pumpkin, cauliflower, pea's , carrots, gravy and apple sauce oh and hot rolls. For dessert we had pav, choc ripple cake, rum balls, choc crackles, royal puddings and lollies. Here are a few shots from day.

Our Christmas was a nice quiet 1. The night before Blaine put out some milk and cookies for Santa, carrot for rudolf an some money for the poor kids for santa to take. As the same as every year, santa almgot sprung. Blaine gets scared xmas eve cos santa is coming into the house. So I had to explain Santa also can do magic and becausewe dont have a chimney (or chimley as Blaine calls it ) he will use magic to put the presents under the tree. Blaine was 1 lucky boy. He got a Wii for xmas and as you can see in the photos he was a bit excited about that. We had BBQ lunch with Michele and Josh and left overs for dinner. Nice and quiet just what you want on xmas day.

Might have to invest in a Wii fit now. Anyway, it has taken me l day to do this post becasue of my poor computer. Until next time, chatting.

Where are you all? Lost in Cyberspace? The site has been very quiet lately.... so quiet its been scary. Even last weekends cybercrop was like a ghost town with not chatting either... I must have BO or something.....

To get you back into the swing of things, a few new things are happining at Scrapbook Capital...

Tomorrow is the start of the "BUILD IT UP" competition ran by Sharon Lee. Sounds cery interesting and runs over 6 weeks. So why not check out the forum for more details.

2009 cybercrops are also changing a little. 'QUEEN OF THE CROP' will also be running from January for 6 months. All you have to do is take part in the cybercrop each month, receive points just for taking part and hopefully get enough points to win. More detaild about that a little closer to the January cybercrop. Dates for 2009 cybercrop will be up in the forum shortly.

November sketch is up in the forum and gallery and you still have a little over a week to get your entries in. Why not have a go... you never know what you will achieve, but 1 thing for certain is your page tally will increase.

December cybercrop has been changed to Friday December 5 due to the christmas hype that we all get subjected to. This is where we get to open our kris kringle pressies we get from the 'secret santa' on SC. Its a christmas theme so why not pop in for a chat, check out the challenges and have a go. The DT really put a lot of heart and soul into their challenges and examples so why not show your appreciation by joining in.

For those in Melbourne we are getting together on Friday 19 December @ Fountain Gate Hotel for a christmas dinner. If you would like to come, please email or PM me to reserve your spot and enjoy a xmas drink with a wonderful bunch of ladies.

On the home front, hmmm nothing at all. Got pretty sick last week with a sore throat, I think I was run down because not only did I feel terrible and slept for ever, I looked even worse. But hopefully over that now, just got to get over this 'no neck, rolly polly, aged looking phase'...If only that was as easy as taking a pill. I can only wish.

Blaine hasn't broken any more bones since last update which is a good thing. Just waiting on an appointment to have his arm checked and find out when we get his plaster off. Cheeky chook has worked out how to shove pencils down his cast to scratch and nothing I say will stop him.

Ohh the only exciting thing Ive done in the last 2 weeks is I brought a new 7ft xmas tree and decorations. All I need to do now is get it off layby and put it up. Highly exciting life hey...NOT!!

So sorry for not updating before now but wow have I been busy... All the usual dealings in a ordinary life going on here. We went on a beach picnic with Michele and her family. Blaine and I started walking every night and trying to teach Blaine how to ride without training wheels. He is down to 1 but we haven't been walking since the retreat. Best I get my but into gear and get started again. We have new neighbours. They are so lovely. I take her youngest to school everyday and pick him up but they are a great bunch of people. They even got out over the park last week and got the kids on their motorbikes for a ride. Was such a lovely day and was great to see the neighbourhood really getting envolved. Even have a school family with 6 kids that come and play and always need an extra for cricket. it's a shame I haven't won lotto yet so I can buy my own place in this estate. Here are some pics to play catch up.

Well Scrap Cap had their 1st retreat and it was brilliant, even if I do say so myself. The ladies were so beautiful IRL and were a great bunch to play with for a weekend. Plenty of alcohol for this little black duck but gosh I had a great time. The PJ party was heaps of fun and Nina's belly dance was amazing. I even got up to have a go and it was soooo hard. There was a few ladies that got into fancy dress and they looked amazing and my hat goes off to them all. Check out Sammi, Michele, Jax, Sharon, Nina and Lyndall in the photo below. I am now counting down until Scrap Cap retreat 2!!! I'm sure it will be bgger and better than this years. I am very proud to announce that we at the retreat raised $500.00 to go to Narre Warren SES in the memroy of my Dad. I am so proud of you all and thank you for supporting a caused that means so much to me... Big hugs and kisses to each and every one of you that donated in some kind of way. xoxoxoxox

I finally start getting back to a so called normal life and my little nit wit decides to climb a fence last night and falls straight over the top and falls 6 feet onto the ground. He seemed to be ok after he settled down but a very different story today. My poor little frog is in a cast with a fracture to the wrist. Hopefully it heals well and he will be out of it in 3 weeks. Today has really taken its toll so hoping for better days tomorrow.

Playing catch up..

Wow, how time flies. So now I have to play catch up. I have been really busy with the school holidays, work, home, site and the ongoings of the retreat that Im not sure if I am coming or going. But it is very exciting to know that its only 11 more sleeps to go.

Blaine went to school holiday program for a couple of days and he loved it. He went to the movies to see Wal.E., had a footy day, a bike athon and a live show. He is now looking forward to christmas so he can go to "play school" again.
I did manage a long weekend during the holidays and we went to Lakes Entrance. Blaines 1st time ad my return after 6 years, nothing changed and relaxing as I remembered. I got to catch up with my x-SIL and BIL and the kids, and the kids got along so well. They were inseprable which was fantastic to see. Lots of catching up, eating good food and doing nothing but relax... God it was good. Here are some pics.

Well it was back to work and back to school and back to a routine. We have started walking and riding after dinner every night, and its so nice not to have the busy destractions for half an hour and just enjoy Blaines company. We have little chats, he picks me flowers, loves to hold my hand and big hugs at every corner. Im really enjoying it. Hopefully it helps to move some of this weight and get some fitness going.
My neice, Kayleigh turned 10 the other day. Makes me feel old, especially to remember the day she was born. For her actual birthday we went to all you can eat and ate until we made ourselves sick. On Saturday she had a party. Great weather and she had a ball. Happy Birthday Kayleigh.

Have had weather from 4 season this week. From storms and freezing to 30 degrees today. This is the rainbow from my front door Monday, and a few photos from the beach today and a few random shots too..

Sunday I looked after lauchy while Fleur did a class and we headed off to the local comunity show held at a farm. Gold coin donation, 2 kids, rides, lunch, lollies and a toy and i spent $30. now thats value.... Here are some pics from the weekend.

Blaine still not 100% was totally exhausted but had a great time.

School holidays have started and thanks to Mum for being able to look after Blaine for me, because as always, we are short staffed and sucker me gets stung with working. I am planning a long weekend this weekend, god knows I need it!!! Today has been a shit of a day for me!!! Blaine went to the holiday program for the 1st time. It was like a snatch and grab. Felt like he was whisped away within a second. I felt sick to the stomach and even had a cry. I worried the whole day and wondered if he was ok. He knew nobody and he seemed to be the youngest there. I hated sending him but he said he had a great time. they went to Warrigul to see WallE. He said he loved it so that makes me feel a little better. He is back there Thursday, as well as next tuesday and thursday as well. I think 2 days a week is plenty. All I want is to have my own home and be able to be home for Blaine.... Simple things yets so hard to come by. Well on the way to work this mooron was tail gating me, then almost side swiped me and then abused me as he flew by. He had his wife in the car with a new born baby and here he is more concerned about calling a fat bitch than worrying about the safety of his baby... What do you expect, the mother was mothing off as well. As you can imagine by the time I got to work id had enough. Long drawn out day, crappy wet weather and tired. We finally get home to find a letter on the door... I have no idea what it is about but all I can say at the moment that it isnt too plesent and i have no idea what its about. Life just gets better doesnt it. So after my sucky shity day, Im ready to crawl and the covers and hide from the world. So thats what im going to do. Hopefully tomorrow is a better 1. Night all and chat soon.

Just a Saturday in September

Exhausted!! is the word of the week in my life. I have a sick kiddo with a virus and lots of vomiting. I got to have a sleep in this morning to catch up and wouldnt you know it, I must have slept funny cos now I have a stiff neck..... lol... only me!!

Blaine is doing much better. He started his holidays a little earlier than most but the poor kid has done nothing but rest up and sleep. He went to a birthday party yesturday and was so excited to see his friends. Didnt eat a single thing and started to get a bit emotional at end end because he was so tired. He must of been exhausted too because we went grocery shopping on the way home and he slept in the trolley while I shopped. I got stopped so many times saying "oh how adorable" but I felt so guilty. He has been so good today. Even had breakfast and had a suprise for me.... 'close your eyes Mum' as he leads me to his room. All I could think of was MESS!! He had made his bed by him self and gave me a hug and said ... 'your very tired so I am going to clean the house today'. He is such a good boy even though I was up until 1am the night before doing the house work but at least the thought was there.

Only 34 sleeps until the retreat and isnt that coming around quickly. Most of it is all done, just waiting on replies now. Hopefully by October I have got them all back and I can start making up the show bags etc.... Hopefully our scrap sponser hurrys up and gets their stuff out so we can get a little more organised.

Did you know its only96 sleeps until Santa comes? Is everybody organised? I have done all my Neices presents, only have my nephew to do and Blaine. Lucky thing is I know what I am getting Blaine so just need to layby it so I can pay it off. Maybe thats a job I can do next week. Hardest thing for me is that his birthday is a few weeks after Christmas and what do I get him? He wants a party so I have to be organised before end of term (I normally am) so he can invite his school mates, and I know exactly what to do for his party.

Have you checked out the whats new section in the shop? I have plenty of new stuff in and more coming over the next few weeks. I plan to scrap this weekend and hopefully get s few things done. I am about to go to the LSS to grab a sheet of paper so I can try on Hettys knickers (as Sammi says) and give her trade mark technique a go. I will show you once its done.

Champagne Headache....

Are you serious!!! I haven't posted since the 10th.....How slack am I? shh don't answer that. Actually been really busy chasing payments for the retreat and organizing all those bits and pieces.... As well as work work work, Being a Mum and the rest we all have to squeeze in, in our busy lives....

Now let me see if I can remember whats been happening and fill you in. Well nothing really springs to mind. The retreat has been my main focus, with only 54 sleeps to go.

I took Blaine to see Star Wars Clones. We went to the 5pm session and was so glad as we were the only people in the entire cinema. Gave me a chance to catch up on some sleep (oops, really didn't mean it) but what I saw of it, was pretty good. I have been so tired lately, just can't seem to spring into action. As soon as I sit i'm snoozing. Think it's time to recharge the batteries and maybe save for a long relaxing holiday.....

Last Thursday I did something really silly. Saw my friend Danny at the post office, went out to my car to find the little turd had played with my wipers etc.... Had a giggle and thought, bugger him I will return the favour. So off I got and do the same then I skip back to my car, fell of the gutter twisting my ankle and couldn't drive. I honestly thought I had broken something that night because as the day got later the more it hurt. Friday morning I woke up to a better ankle and a thrwn out back!! Im such an idiot. Didn't stop me though going to the IAG gala for work on Saturday night though. I woke up this morning with a champagne headache. The entertainment was Ross Wilson. His 1st set was very average but was great when he started belting out songs like 'cool world', 'eagle rock' and 'Come said the boy' . Even had a dance with the boss. Not a lot on the scrap fron either. Has been a while since I ave sat down and really got into scrapping. I am halfway through finishing Lali's CJ and starting Sammi's scraplift challenge. Sorry girls im never usually this slack in getting these done. Here is what i have done since last time.

The 1st layout is a random 1 of me after a dramtic cut and colour. I have used Sandies handmade Daisies. This will be available in the shop very soon. The second is my take of the August sketch competition. Septembers sketch will be uploaded today, so why not check it out and have a crack, you may even win a scrap cap voucher.

busy busy busy

Doesn't time fly when you are flat out? I cant believe its been 3 weeks since i last posted.

1st i have to say happy birthday to my Neice and Nephew, Chloe who turned 8 and Damon who turned 9. We had McDonalds for dinner and the had cold rock iceream after that. I hope you both had a great day.

With winter here, the weekends have been spent at home in our PJ's catching up on baking, scrapping and house work and I must say, I have loved it. I have had a bit of a sick kid here but he seems to deal with it pretty well apart from school. Just not himself, very distracted and not settling to well. He had Friday off so I'm hoping the rest from this weekend helps him settle a bit and get back into a routine.

I have been flat out this week organizing final numbers for the retreat, as well as classes, meals and freebies. It has been harder than you can imagine. Not a lot of business are keen to support such a thing but I am hoping in the next few weeks, something sparks and i get a little more support. i would love your ideas on sponser and donations if you have any.

A cybercrop was held this weekend at SC and once again the DT turn out some spectacular challenges and even more impressive examples. Our CC's have been very quite of late and i am hoping entries start rolling in soon.

The August sketch competition is also running. Check our the Competition section for the map and requirements.

Julie is going great guns with the little things challenges. I am hoping to try and catch up this week with her rounds and her layouts have been exceptional. Also a big congrats to our one and only hetty hall for becoming a DT for Kaiser Craft. I have been very lucky to have such a great group of ladies apart of the SC team. Nothing is ever too much and they are always supportive and helpful where ever they can be.

This is predicted to be a long post!!! Grab a cuppa...

Well since my last post a bit has been happening.

Our trip to Soverign Hill was cancelled due to snow fall and black ice on the roads. My history with black ice has ended up in disaster each and every time so i did not want to chance it (may be i should have).... SO Fleur, Lauchy, Blaine and i went to the museum. After spending easily 40 minutes looking to find a park we got lucky and found a spot. WE both made sure we checked the signs and paid for the parking metre and off we went. Lunch 1st up and waited half an hour to get to order. Bellys full and off we went to check out some educational babble. Kids were bouncing off the walls and after about 3 hours we decided to head outside for the kids to run off some steam. Of course as we were at Carlton Gardens i had to take some pics and then headed for the car.....Fleur politely turns to me and says is that your car they are towing...... wholey shit I ran like the wind. After pleading and begging and a bit of bribery and the kids screaming their heads off becasue they were so scared the a@$eholes drove off with the car with nothing and no directions to where they were taking it. As you can imagine I was a little upset (thats an understatement) and we walked from the city to Collingwood in the cold and getting dark night with 2 5 year olds. We finally managed to locate the depot by following the maggots with other cars they had towed and i went in their with guns firing....... I can now say that our children know each and every swear word in the English language, i tell you I gave it to them. After $320 to release the car I was allowed into the lot only to find another fine of $130. I jumped into the car, slamming the door, reving the shizenhour out of it to go to take off with a huge skid, but no dickhead me stalled it which made me even angryer. I finally got to do the big skid out of the lot and picked up Fleur and the kids. Poor Fleur, held onto life. I think i really scared her. She whispered "do you think you need to pull over to calm down" to my reply NO!!! and then followed in an ocean of tears...... Then i had no idea where we were, so after driving around and heading to the city (figured I could find my way home from there) we drove home very quiet and very sedate! I can honestly say it was a really shitful day and i am sure Fleur will vouch for that.

A few girls from SC hit the town on a Friday night for dinner, drinks and a movie. We went to the Fountain Gate Hotel and I have to say the meals were huge and delicious. We had a great time and headed up to the cinema's were tragedy happened. Poor Lyndall went to the toilet and had her hand bag stollen. The poor girl had lost the lot and even missed out on the movie. It cost her a new phone, new keys for the car and house as well as a new ignition and a hand bag.... She is having so much bad luck..... But on a positive side, we saw mamma Mia and it was bloody brilliant. We all plan on doing the whole night over again. It was fantastic and i recommend it to all of you to see.

Over at Scrapbook Capital, our DT/Page maps comeptition has come to an end and the talent that was produced was mind blowing. In saying that, the decision to select a designer team was extremely difficult. I wish i could use them all but sadly my finances dont stretch that far. The overall winner of the page maps competition went to Maria aka J@zzi...... Maria chose the BG magnetic board and magnet as her prize. I hope you enjoy your prize Maria.

I decided to work out what i had at SC and what SC needed in terms of promotion and product use, so thats what i based the final decision on. Julie Heard continues as a SC Artist and will also be running a class or 2 at the retreat, so that will be very exciting. Fleur will also pop in from time to time to teach us in tutorials as well. Hetty Hall also joins the artist team with her amazing talent and as she is now on the Kaiser team, I am sure we will all be blown away with her OTP talent as well as her beautiful layouts.

The 1st DT member is Sharon Lee who will concerntrate mainly on cards and will be running class tutorials monthly on "how to" in card making. The 2nd DT member is Tracy Firth. Tracy blew me away with her OTP designs and i really think she will bring something to the table and create a bit of interest in OTP designs. Welcome ladies and i hope you enjoy your time at SC.

Julie Heard has a weekly challenge "THE LITTLE THINGS" going at the moment and will run for 12 weeks. Pop in to see her weekly task each Tuesday.

Adventure 1.... Im exhausted

I took today off to spend with Blaine for school holidays and wow am i exhauseted. We went to Phillip Island. We started off at the chocolate factory, and was very boring and a waste of time so from there we went to Amaze n things. We spent a few hours there tackling maze's and puzzles and even a game of mini gold. Apart from te rain it was a bit of fun. We had lunch there so we could recharge the batteries and start again. heres a few pics.

Could you imagine having 6 Blaines... oooh please thats a nightmare...lol

From there we headed to the Grand Prix track. We played a few games, Blaine had a go at the slot car track and loved it and then we had a go at the go karts, now that was heaps of fun.

It was finally time to head to the penguin parade and I must say it was wet windy and bloody freezing. I was so wet cold and tired that we left and went to cowes and had dinner and I must say it was the best past I have ever had. Delicious. We used to go down there all the time b4 I was married so I knew that was where we were going to eat. i tell you the drive home was long and tedious and after a hot hot bubble bath i crawled into bed until Blaine woke me this morning (thing I might be still sleeping if he didnt.). Next Wednesday is soverign hill with snow.... wish me luck. Until next time, keep chatting.

Mid Year already....

Wow how fast has this year gone? School holidays are here and I feel so guilty that I am not home with my child. I believe that I should be home with him and not putting him here and there so I can work. I would give up work in a second so I can stay home with him. I think I will put in for xmas holidays so I am home looking after him. Bugger it!!! Time for a holiday weather the boss likes it or not. I am taking a day off mid week each week to take him out. I think this Wednesday we will go to Phillip Island to Amazing Things and the nature park, then out for dinner along the beach at the little white Italian place in the main street then go and watch the penguins come in and head home. The following Wednesday we are heading of to Soverign Hill as they will have snow too, so to kill 2 birds with 1 stone so to speak. Thanks to Fleur, she is taking the boys to space kids tomorrow so thanks honey, I really appreciate it like you wouldnt believe.
Not a lot happening in my world. Its my sisters birthday today, she turns 29 on the 29th. She wanted her kids schools pics framed so i did that for her and also brought a memory board and filled with pics of her kids and the nieces and nephews all in sepia. I must say it looked real classy. We went there for fish and chips so nothing exciting. I might organise something for her 30th next year considering i paid for my borthers 18th, 21st and his engagement and i dont think i have done anything for her. She loves hunchbaxs so i think that might be the go.
Im trying to put some puzzle pieces together and i must say they are doing my head in. I might give it up and try another day. I do have 1 verse, just need to work out the finished format. They are coming girls, I promise.
Friday night i had a linen party and for a small group i did pretty well. I ended up getting a Q doona set, sheet and pillow cases, as well as a set for Blaine for $100. I save $170 so thanks girls for coming and those who placed orders.
Dont forget we arre having a girls night on the 11th. We are going out to the movies and dinner so please i would love it if you could come. Only 116 days until the Retreat and i am getting excited about that too. I really need to get so many things done before the time has crept up on me and bites me on the arse......
Lots of new goodies are in store and more arriving in the next few days and the following week so keep your eyes open for that.
We are up to round 7 on the DT search. Only 1 more round until the end ad the decsion making is going to be very hard. I have decided to ask a few girls to help me on the decision with their views and opinions. I have received to applications so far and waiting on a few more. So true in all aspects.... Winter has certainly hit here in Melbourne with plenty of wind and rain. This weather brews a nice round of Flu as well. Luckily we have just got a bit of a cough and some sniffles and hopefully it passes quickly. Probably doesn't help when I had to change a puncture in the bloody wet cold weather on Friday.

I got my new washing machine on Friday and wow 8 kilos is very big. Didnt realise that at all until i did a load of towels and i still had plenty of room. But all I have done is "oh wow" every time I try something new on it. Im like a kid in a toy shop. Well now the washine machine is replaced I now have to get a new freezer. It just stopped working so will start saving for a new fridge freezer side by side. I had to throw out all of the food and I was so mad about that. This is what I chucked out.

We have had a pretty quiet weekend here. Friday night was cybercrop night. Another pretty quiet night of chat but the gallery is looking amazing. Check out the cybercrop section for the challenges. You still have until midnight tomorrow to get your entries in. Here are 2 layouts i did for it.

Saturday night we went to the drive in with Sarah and Michele and their families and saw Speed Racer. Must say it was average and the kids werent impressed either. We ended back at Micheles for a chat and a very very late night. Today was sleep in day. Rolled out of bed at 10, had something to eat, checked my emails and was back in bed at noon to 2pm. How bad is that. Even Blaine spent pretty much the day in bed. Poor bugger has a very chesty cough. So roast dinner and plenty of Krispy Kreames and now off to scrap a little more after Ive done the dishes.

I have done lots of pages but cant share them all just yet but i have done all the examples for the DT page maps comp so please with myself for being organised. Even done the design sketch 1 too. We are currently up to round 5 and the talent is outstanding. Here are the sketches and my examples for this round.

Check out my little spunk.......

Dont you think he looks gorgeous.... I am biest but I do. The boys at school think he is pretty cool, and his teacher has been calling him a little spunk but the girls are so forward with the compliments. Im sure they will get used to it.

Not only did Blaine get glasses but I have had a battle with a white fluffy animal, actually black muddy filthy animal I should say. You will know what i mean when you see the pics. I spent Saturday at the pet shop trying to come with a solution for Lilly to stop digging, so $20 later i come home with a tub of stay off. It worked for the afternoon and thats it. After I put soil down, sown some grass seed and layed down the stay off this was the result.....

The next whole she digs will be her own..... Little bugger

Spics and Specks

I have had a pretty busy week but not a lot done iykwim. Last week Blaine went for an eye test after failing the school test and we had a further test again this week. Yes frog needs glasses. He is long sighted and not too bad but hopefully it will strengthen his sight (more the left) and they will correct them selves. We got to try on a few and 1 pair he put on, pulled off so quickly and said "no I look like Harry Potter",,..... Had to laugh, but the good thing is the 1's I liked were the same as what he liked so thats a good thing. So from next week he will be using them for reading, computers, writing and drawing. I will take a photo when they arrive, oh and while we were out, he had a hair cut so he will definetely look a bit spunky with the new shades. So broke is me... :(

I also have had to buy a new washing machine... $800 later so I am hoping I can pick that up next week. Next on the shopping list will be a dinning setting and a new fridge / freezer. I guess thats what happens when ypu buy everything the same time, it all falls apart the same time. Such is life.

Jock Boy!!

Meet my silly fella "Jock Boy".... He had Mum and I in fits of laughter and no it wasn't prompted. He was playing with himself and came out from his room as the newest superhero in town. Thanks to mum for reminding me to take pics....

The Page Maps Competition is underway and I am so excited to see so many entries in the gallery. A huge welcome to our new members and I hope you enjoy it here at SC as much as the rest of us do. We are already upto round 2 and the qaulity of work is outstanding.

Not a lot happening in Lorrie land apart form lots of appointments like physio and hydro and eye tests for the boy. 1 more to go for him to see what the results are and if he will need glasses or not. A little over 5 weeks and i am driving back in my little baby Stu and boy have i mised it. Even sleeping on my tummy again and let me tell you how good that feels. Trying to keep the scrapping going but thats failing dismally at the moment but I am about to go to HN to get a few more photos printed so i can finish off a layout or 2 tonight. Here is a couple I have done over the past week or so.

A new comp and a new DT

The "Page Maps" competition was launched last night with round 1 and the bonus round are underway. Scrapbook Capital is also looking for a new Designer Team and to apply all you need to do is to complete the 8 rounds to the competition including the bonus round. I am really looking forward to seeing every bodies entries and I hope we have a better turn out for the competition and DT aplications compared to the last DT call and BOM competition. There will be prizes awarded and will be in the forum shortly.

It has been 4 weeks since my operation and I am walking on my own and getting back to normal. 2 more weeks and i will be back behind the wheel. Can't wait until that happens and get back to normality.

A big congratulations to Sharon Lee for winning the BOM competition. Sharon won $300 worth of scrapbook products for her efforts. Janet also received a $30 voucher for her efforts and was awarded the encouragement award. I would like to thank everybody for supporting and taking part of the competition and a big thanks to my judges that had the hard decision to choose a winner.

Nothing else happening here. Waiting on a reply from the landlord about the rent increase to see if i will be house hunting again or not. Fingers crossed he reconsideres his actions and i can stay put. Im back at work and nothing has changed. Still plenty of the normal office crap thats happens going on but thats life. Thanks Fleur, Suzie and Michele for the scrap night on Saturday, even though there wasnt a lot of scrapping being done i managed to get 2 completed.

Day 21

It has been 3 weeks since my operation and I am walking on my own with no crutches, back at work, and moving around really well. cant wait to Im driving and sleeping on my tummy but i am sure it wont be long now. my scar looks great and i am so glad I demanded stitches. Apart from the allergic reaction from the sterry strips it looks pretty darn good. Take a look for your self....

The Becky Fleck "PAGE MAPS" book has finally arrived and i only have a few copies left. It is a gorgeous well presented book and such great value for money. The BOM competition is finally over and I am hoping to have a winner tomorrow night. Just waiting on a few votes and as soon as they are in we will have a winner.

In the next week or so I will be running a new competition along with Fleur, and this will really get your Mojo on the go...... This comp will suit everybodies flair and i cant wait until we get started.

I have managed to get 1 layout done but it was for a photo swap and I have sent it to Nicole without taking a photo.....silly me but i hope you like it Nic.

Well nothing else to chat about. I am hoping to get a few girls together to scrap on Saturday night and cybercrop next week and lets hope i can find my mojo and get some scrapping done.

On the mend

Well its been 10 days since my operation and all is going well. I had my operation on the 17th and was out of bed the next day. Apart from being really ill with the medication the 1st day I felt fine. I had a room of 4..... no sleep... food was terrible, was in a room with men as well and was very glad to be home. Day 6+7 have been my bad days. You would think I would have pain in my hip but not at all. My knee has been killing me and it swelled twice the size. I think once the soreness goes from there I will be on fire.

Mum got herself a car on the Wednesday night just in the nick of time and she is doing well for somebody that hasn't driven in 12 years. She drove last night in the dark for the 1st time as i had to get a redressing and even though she was slow she did real well. I think this will really help with her depression and confidence and get her back to a life...... Blaine can't wait until I am off crutches and walking on my own. I give it probably another week and I should be up on my own without them. Here is a war wound pic....

Blaine had his school cross country last week that i was so glad i could go see. Not that he did any good... he had no understanding that it was a race and he had to run fast, he just jogged and chat right through the race. It wasnt until after the race that the winners got medals and the place getters from 4-6 got place ribbons and all he got was a well done ribbon. I told him he did well and next time he had to run fast and made a big deal about the ribbon that he replied..."this ribbon says LOSER"... god they learn so quickly. but heres a few pics from the day.

Blaine has also been in the wars as well. We went to mums on Friday and Blaine ran straight into a concrete mixer and ....well here is the result. The worst thing is I saw it in slow motion and that always seems to hurt me more than him.

Well hopefully I can get some scrapping done now I am starting to feel better but here are my last lot of layouts. The 1st layout was done for a photo swap by Hetty hall. Thanks hetty i love it. It's gorgeous. Until next time... keep on chatting. xxxx

Getting Nervous....

Well only 4 days until I go under the knife. A little nervous but I am more worried about Blaine and how this is going to effect him. I am so anal when it comes to control and order and having Mum here without a car is stressing the crap out of me. I even gave her some $$ to put towards a cheap little car about a month ago and now she can't be bothered. I don't want to ask the x to do more than I want but it looks as if I am going to have to bite the bullet. I am sure she thinks its only while im in hospital for 4 days but I am unable to do anything for 6 weeks so how the hell am I going to do simple things like shopping, getting Blaine to school especially being 5 km's away with no paths to follow, cooking and cleaning in the 1st few weeks as well as the post op treatment that sounds as if it is going to be full on. It's a shame I don't have a single reliable friend that can drop everything they are doing and live my life for a few weeks but I am sure between the wonderful friends I have I will manage..... Bloody family!!! who needs them.

Well on a more positive note I won a multi fuction printer from Cartridge World a few weeks back and have decided to donate it as a prize at the retreat. Only 6 months to go and I can't wait to catch up with people and meet those I chat to on a daily basis. As for the major companies I have written to to donate something, what a bloody joke! I kid you not..... out of about 13 letters I have sent all I have got is 20 cakes of soap from Cusson's... Thank you to cussons for their generosity and BLAH to those others that could not dig deep enough to suport such a wonderful group such as the SES.

Looks like I will be on the move again in a few short months. Don't ask me how i am going to do that after a hip replacement but like hell am I going to cop another rise in rent. It will be $45 raise within 12 months and I don't know about you but thats out of my playing field and bloody greedy too. So I will have plenty to do when I get home from hospital don't you worry. So much for kicking back and catching up on scrapping.... hehehehe.

We had the April Cybercrop on on Friday night and yet again. a night of laughter and a bit of naughtyness. The 3 challenges were a sketch challenge, a key ring, and a 6x12 layout. You still have until Monday to get these done to be in the chance to win a voucher.

Becky Fleck "PAGE MAPS BOOK" will be in around the 23rd..... I have a super deal going on at the moment for this book so have a look to preorder your copy. These books are going to fly out the door.

Blaine had his 1st dentist appointment last week and he did well. Back on Wednesday for a filling but i did take a few shots... like any good scrapbook mother would.....

Fleur turned 30 last week and I must say I had a ball and no hang over!!! Happy Birthday SLURIE FLURIE!!!

Oh Dale, my birthday is in October so I hope you got a 2 for 1 deal on that camera you got Fleur. ;)

And Here is Blaine doing a bit of cooking for play lunch for school. Never too early to teach them how to cook, clean and look after Mummy I think....

summers gone...

Well after having a few 40 degree days last week, today we had a top temp of 14. I guess we can say goodbye to summer and hello to cold,wet, crappy weather and now watch me winge ;) .
3 weeks exactly for my operation and time is coming around real fast. Im a little worried, more so about who is going to help me with Blaine, the bills, the house and even work... sad to say!!

I just have to keep thinking i will be on my feet in no time and will be better than ever.

I have a bit of a busy weekend coming up with a house inspection tomorrow, Fleurs little boy, Lauchys 5th birthday on Saturday and Paperific on Sunday..... Hopefully between now and then i will have a chance to get 3 layouts done and otp... so theres a goal!!

SC had their Good Friday cybercrop last weekend and it was heaps of fun. A few girls managed to get the trivia done and scored themselves some yummy choccy just to add to their easter pressies. Well done to Julie, jacqui, Anthea, Sharon and Maria. Voting is now open to vote for your favourite entries from the CC. Please pop in and vote and help support the girls amazing talents.

We are up to round 7 of the BOM competition. This round is 'Family Tree'. For those playing, please make sure all your entries up to round 7 are in the gallery by midnight Sunday. Judging will comence next week for those rounds. Each round from now on will be required to be uploaded in the gallery to the date specified..... I cant wait to see everybodies layouts for the family tree and the next rounds coming up are going to be just as amazing so good luck to everybody.

I can' t believe it has been nearly 3 weeks since i have blogged. Not alot has been going on personally apart from a date set for my hip replacement. I was physically ill when I got the letter with nerves. But i have done the pre admission so now waiting for the op.

On a brighter note, only a little over 7 months for the retreat and the girls have decided on a fancy dress, so this is going to be so much fun. There are still spots available (not many) so get in now to reserve your possie.

We are up to round 6 on the Book Of Me Competition. Round 3: was if friends were flowers, Round 4: 5 Senses, Round 5: My Family and Round 6: what makes you smile? The gallery is looking amazing and its not too late to catch up and get in for the chance to win $300 worth of scrapbook product.

Easter Cybercrop is on this Friday and there will be 4 challenges and 1 overall prize, as well as a few smaller prizes snuck in over the weekend. As well as the cybercrop, I will be having a clearance sale to make way for new stock. The sale will begin Friday and will go through until Monday or until stocks last. Some items will be reduced to less than cost price.... Get in early to avoid disappointment.

Yesturday we went tro Crop 4 Kids to raise money for The royal childrens hospital. There was 11 of us and it was awesome. A few of us went out for dinner afterwards and I had a ball. Thanks to all of you that came along and made my day so wonderful.

My mojo is like a caterpillar, in a little cacoon sleeping the time away... I am hoping that when it breaks out it will be big and beautiful like a butterfly because some of the layouts i have done a terrible. But here they are just to keep up to date.

I am so sorry I didnt realize it had been so long since I last left a post.
So let me briefly tell you whats been happing in the last month.

Well to finish off the holidays we spent the day at Frankston beach with kelly, Danny, Fleur, Breanne and Lauchy. We 1st went to the sand sculptures then fish and chips and a dip at the beach later. Here are a couple of pics of the day. The 1 of me with the screwed up face is me nearly spewing cos if you look closely i have a jelly fish down my top thanks to danny....

We also spent a day in Melbourne at the hotrod and cutom car show followed by a picnic in the Alexander Gardens.

Blaine also started Primary School and his 1st day went very smoothly. He was bouncing off the walls when he got home as he was so excited but after 4 weeks, he is still loving it and he is doing really well so I am very happy with my decision on sending him.

Well apart from work work work, life has been demanding in itself juggling work, school and the business. Organising the BOM competition which was launch last fortnight to the final details for the retreat which has been finalised and will be on Friday 24 October - Sunday 26 October 2008. It's going to be so much fun and I am so excited to be meeting everybody and hope that everybody will be hapy with what I am planning. Deposits are required in April to reserve you position. This is limited so please make sure you reserve your spot now!!!

The BOM comp has been lots of fun. Round 1 was a time line of yourself. Round 2 was what colour are your and we are currently doing round 3 which is your best friend. There is still plenty of time to join in on the competition for your chance to win $300 worth of scrapbook products. The gallery is looking amazing and i can't wait to see more entries.

Also kaiser has been launching some beuatiful products to which i have in store. I have made up very affordable kits so please take a look in the whats new section to see whats arrived and what might take your fancy.
