Good morning everybody.

Nothing much happening in Lorrie land, just getting organised for work and kinder but I thought I would upload a few things I have done over the weekend.

This is a 12x12 canvas I have done for the top 50 monthly OTP competition. It's nice to do girly things every now and then. I gave this to my sister and she loved it.

The girly girl layout was for round 5 idol but I was booted before I could enter it. I did it anyway cos I wanted to use my new Stamping up stamps. I think I got a little carried away with it all. Very simple but loved using them.

Well I better get ready for work. Have a gorgeous spring day....

I'm getting a little jacked so to speak about the delay of the forum and gallery. So so so sorry girls, I have been hounding the providers every day but still no straight answer..... As soon as it is live I will let you all know... PROMISE!!!
Blaine had his second orrintation day for school today. He cruised in and seemed to really enjoy it. He can't wait until he goes full time which is a good thing. At least transition should go well.
Happy birthday to Cooper. We went to Macca's today to help celebrate Coopers birthday. I hope you had a lovely day matey.

Well thats Sunday gone

So after going to bed at 2.30 this morning I was up bright and early. Off to the shops before everybody else got there. I woke up to rain, so the gardening I had planed was a no no. So from the newsagents, to the library, harvey norman, ted camera's, k-mart, spot light, snooze, tic tac toe, HJ's (yummo) and then home, only because I couldn't walk any more. So I sat to start a canvas for TOP 50 monthly comp. So I got started then the x turns up... how rude... interupting me in my scrap zone. Well after he lft i felt guilty so on my hands and knees I pulled weeds. 2 bucket loads, thats terrible...lol. so now I was in the "lets clean up the yard mood", so back to coles to buy a hose... hoppyty hop around coles to grab a few things then back to finish the tidy up. Even got rid of the bloody cardboard I seemed to have collected in the garage. All that needs to be done is the lawns mowed but thats getting done tomorrow.
Well I finished off the Canvas but i can't show you cos i don't have a working camera ATM, but as soon as i do I will upload it.
I took my camera to see how much it would cost to get fixed. Just for them to send the camera to Kodak was going to cost $80 so looks as if Im in the market for a new camera. Been looking at a Canon A550. I would love any feedback on the camera's you all have and tell me what they do and what you think of them.
Well tomorrow looks to be a busy one for me (fingers crossed) so better make it an early one.

Well the house is clean. Took me all bloody day but cleaned everything. 5 loads of washing, mop, vac, dust, scrub, shine....lol . Tomorrow I hope to weed and mow and hopefully get Blaines cubby up. I can only hope.
Thanks girls for your lovely messages about my style. I'm happy with what i do and I learn't that during the last idol when I lost the heart to scrap all together. It makes me laugh when i try something different, that I end up hating what I have done but others think its brilliant....funny I think but I guess it's personal taste. I like what I do and I appreciate that others like it too..
I was like a big kid in a lolly shop tonight, I had a suprise visit from my best bud Kelly. We don't see a lot of each other cos of a little distance between us and our busy lives but I was so excited tonight. Danny and Breanne played with Blaine, and he was so excited I thought he never go to sleep. i think he like playing with Danny. He doesn't have much to do with Men at all apart from my brother on the odd occassion so to see him all over him put a smile on my face and lifted that concern that he may be unsure around men as he gets older. Kel and I had a couple of Baileys and chatted. It was a really lovely night. I miss her heaps and I look so forward in seeing her each and every time.

Woo hoo I hear you say !!!! FINALLY I say. It's been a long and testing time so I am very excited to welcome you all to OUR new home. I would love to see your stuff in the gallery, and pop in for a chat. There will be plenty of competitions, challanges and a giveaway here and there so please spread the word. New stock arriving and plenty of it. If there is something you want and can't find it, let me know and i will do my best to get it for you.

still waiting

A big apology to those waiting on the big reveal, looks as if it will be Monday now. I love ringing corporate offices and them saying that the person I am after is in a meeting (yeah right) and they will take a message and get them to call me straight back... well I am still waiting for that call, hense the delay. Bloody suits, don't even work the weekend so I am now hanging and waiting... so sorry everybody. Hopefully it will be worth the wait (besides I've waited 8 months, so whats another 2 days...lol).
Well I didn't make round 4 of Idol. Not too fussed really. I never really felt like my style ever fit on that gallery. I felt like a square block in a round hole. Good luck everybody. I think Binxcat will take it out this year.... good luck Am, I'm right behind you.
Thanks Suz for my H2O's. I haven't used them yet but give me the weekend and I am sure I will at some stage.
Well while the weather is good, I better get the washing on, strip the beds, wash the towels and give the floor a mop. I will pop in later and let you know what I have been up to...

duck waddle

It's been a slow day for me today. Apart from taking Blaine swimming and grabbing a few things at the supermarket I have waddled around the house all day. My hip is giving me grief and my knee on the other leg is not much better. Anytime soon would be nice to get the ok from the hospital to get this new hip I have been waiting forever for. I will attempt to mop the floor tonight after the monster is in bed but thats if i can be truely bothered. I think I have had a case of the C.B.F'S all day....lol
Well not long now for the big reveal, 4 sleeps, hopefully and then we can get this party started. Hopefully all my goodies will arrive in time. Don't forget to keep popping into Scrap CAPITAL a watch out for a few changes.
Paperific is back on again OCTOBER 12-14 in Melbourne. I so love that show and can't wait to get there again. Hopefully there will be a few new things that takes my fancy especially paper. I really want a hands on with those Opals this year, I still have no idea how they get that stuff looking they way it does.
Well I better go and finish the list of C.B.F' chores I have so I can sit on my wide load and let it grow to full potential...hehe. chat soon xoxox

Is it Friday yet?

How fast has this weekend gone. I have only just sat down and i'm buggered. Friday night I looked after my neices and nephew +2 so 7 kids in total while my brother and his wife went toy shopping. They were very good kids and were no trouble at all. Then I sat and watch the footy with my brother and watch Richmond fianlly win 1. Yeap, I'm a tiger fan. I was up at 6 Saturday and off I went to the FUNTASTIC toy warehouse sale in the freezing cold and wind and rain. You can only get in by invitation. I brought a few things, mainly all leapfrog stuff and all educational. Then from there I had to pick Blaine up from my brothers, I had to go past my Dr, then to Mum's then to Blaine's Dr. His lip is much better and the swelling has pretty much gone. So after that I braved the grocery shopping and then I finally was home. All I wanted to do was have a bubble bath, get in my pj's anddo a little bit of scrapbooking and have an early night. NO CHANCE. I got to have a bubble bath but out again with people from work for tea. I had the yummiest reef and beef and yummo hot mud cake for dessert and by the time we got home it was close to midnight, no wonder I didn't wake up until 9 this morning. All I have done today is make the bed, do the washing have a shower and scrap, oh and cook dinner. I'm buggered again. It feels like a Friday, you know when you are so buggered that you need 2 days to get over it.

I did achieve to get my round two of embellished idol done and because I love the challange so much, I ended up doing 2. I entered Blaines.

Stamping Up catalogue launch

Well a huge thanks to Fleur for a great night tonight at the Stamping up catalogue launch. I spent more than intended and it's all Fleur fault.... ;) she had these gorgeous stamps for a make and take and I am sure that the majority brought a set as well as the white stamp pad, I know I did. I love my prize (it's already on the fridge) and I love my make and takes. For somebody that isn't into stamping I am sure getting a few sets to my name. I have had such a good week (apart from my accident prone froggy) this week so all I am wanting now is for the tax man tomorrow that I am getting lots back and a published acceptance.

In the wars.

Well what an eventful day. I finally had my hair cut, yeap it has almost been a year since the last tragedy and due to the tears it caused the last time I have been boycotting the hair dresser. So after enough badgering from a friend telling me how bad I looked ( I didn't think I was that hidious) I bit the bullet and had it cut. It looks so much healthier and neater but do I look better, nah I'm still me sorry to dissapoint.

So anyway we stopped at Nanny's and after a little while it was time to go. Blaine, being the typical boy, flew out the door and ran to the car. Unfortunately he only made it as far as face planting a brick. Blood everywhere. His tooth went through his lip and the only thing I was thinking is 'Oh my god what about his teeth'. So a trip to the Emergency Dept just to be safe where we were given the OK. The poor kid last week was running to the toilet, slipped and face planted the bowl and ended up with a nice black eye so now it looks as if my little Romper Stomper has been beaten up by Mummy. There is always a positive, now he wants lots of hugs and kisses. He is such a Mummy's boy. I took a couple of pics. You can't see the cut cos its along his teeth where the swelling is but you get the idea.

a productive weekend

Well it's been a while since I could say I spent the whole weekend scrapping (and a bit of shopping ;) ) but i did.

There was 2 cybercrops on this weekend and for the last 18 months I have been a dedicated Embellished girl, but I stepped out on the weekend and checked out Top 50 and boy have I had a ball with their challanges. I still have 1 to do for top 50 as well as 2 for Embellished b4 2moro midnight but here is what I have accomplished so far.

TOP 50 1. 7 word title, 3 different fonts, 3 journal spots.
I love this layout and very happy with the final result.

TOP 50 3. Girly page, ribbon, flowers and bling with multi pics. (I have another pic under the top pic). I loved doing a girly page and I am really stoked with it).

EMBELLISHED 2. To decorate a coaster. I changed this into a fridge magnet.

Embellished is running IDOL again this year and round 1 is a sketch. It was a 12 x 12 sketch but i took it and ran with it and decided to do a round page with some old pics. There are so many entries this year that who ever gets through will need that something special to make the grade. Anyway here is my 1st entry.

So thats my weekend. Hope yours was just as productive.....
