Last 1 for the year

Well another year almost over, in 12 hours time. I am happy to see the end of this year. I don't think I have ever been so tired as I have been this year, and the days have dragged.
I have put a list of things I want to achieve for next year so here goes...
1. Settle into a house that I actually like and a suburb that I am happy to live in.
2. Make a profit on my business rather than a loss.
3. Have a hip replacement.
4. Loose a bit of weight and be happy with me.
5. Pay off all my debts (in my dreams) and plan to settle down and by a home.
6. And just be happy, healthy and proud of what I am and what I achieve.
7. And last but not at all the least, Blaine to be happy, healthy and to be able to give him the best life possible.
Not a lot I don't think.Just have to put my head down and bum up and balance this with being the best Mum I can without it effecting Blaine.
Hmmmm, maybe I should find a rich good looking man for all of this to come true....hehehehe
Well I haven't made up my mind what i am doing tonight. I have been thinking of taking Blaine into the city to see the fireworks at 9.30 and then going to Micheles for the turning of the year... OR... just going to Micheles for the night...OR... going to Aunty Lizzy's and spending it with Mum... who know... Still have a few hours to decide.
HAPPY NEW YEAR

1 year has passed

Well it is the anniversery of Dad's death today. The first 6 months took forever but the last 6 months have really crept up.
S.E.S. are having a memorial dinner tonight and Mum wants to go. Looks as if I will be taking her because Johnny doesn't want to go and Felicity has gone to Sydney... (long story)...
Hopefully today will go as smooth and easy as possible.
If Dad could hear me I would want him to know that he is missed very much and I think about him all the time. I just hope where ever he maybe in spirit, that it is a beautiful place that he has always wanted to be.
He is sadly missed and always remembered....
I love you DAD.

boxing day

Well as traditional as it is on boxing day, but not for me, Mum and I hit the shops. We went to Waverley Gardens cos nobody seems to go there to do the exchange of things that don't fit and have 2 of. As predicted the shopping centre was pretty quiet but I managed to get a massive bargin. I got a hot wheels drag/race car with slicks and side pipes and it looks so cool. It was the only 1 there and it was only a display and it had been reduced to $100. So I called over the manager to make sure it was for sale and he told me there was no charger (which doesnt matter cos I have 2 already)so with my barginning skills I got it for $60. How cool is that. AND he loves it. I rang Brad to come and get it which he did so thats 1 thing done. Now all I have to do is decide on his party. I took mum down to the pier so she could throw flowers for dad and took her home. Silly chook she is, we got home to find the gate, security door and front door wide open. I think she forgot to shut it after getting the rose cuttings. She is very lucky everything is still there. Tomorrow will be the the big tester. It will be 1 year since Dad died. There is a memorial service at SES tomorrow night so hopefully Mum will be ok.

Merry Christmas

I hope everybody had a lovely christmas. I think Blaine did which is all that matters. He was up at 7.15 this morning and I watched him go to the toilet then walk to the lounge, stop...looked, turned to his room, turned back to the lounge then flew down the hall yelling Mummy Santa has given me presents. It was soo cute. His dad came around and we watched him open his presents. I got him a leap pad, and it seems he is loving it so thats good. After breakfast we went outside to show him the cubby... He looked at the cubby then grabbed my leg and said 'Oh Mum' he was so coy....and too gorgeous. He has just been watching DVD's all afternoon because it is so cold, wet and windy but for about an hour he managed to play in the cubby. He set up a pretend TV and Video with wiggle boxes and put his flip out couch and got comfy...I am so glad he liked it. Then I attempted to cook a cheats roast, you know, those prepacked vegies and a piece of pork and it was bloody horrible. Blaine hasn't even touched it. I guess continental will come to the rescue a bit later yet again...lol. As for my xmas, well nothing terribly exciting. Just a day at home. I am off to do some scrapping a bit later once i get rid of all the smoke in the house. Here are a couple of photos I took of Blaine today.... I hope you all had lovely christmas....hugs and kisses.....xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

a photo with santa

I forgot to show off Blaine and my neices and nephew. Here is the pic we had done with Santa yesturday.
Left to right....Holly(5), Teisha(3), Kayleigh(8), Madeline(4), Damon(7), Blaine(3) and Chloe(6).

Santa is on his way...

Santa is coming...woohoo.....Blaine has been asleep since 7pm. Can you believe it...Xmas eve and in bed asleep. Unbelieveable.
Well I owe a massive thanks to Mick and Michele once again. They both came over tonight in the rain and the dark to help me put up the cubby in time... And it looks great.
A MASIVE THANKYOU TO MICHELE AND MICK....YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST........I also finally finished the canvas for Mum and as predicted she cried. I think she is feeling really lonely tonight. I wish she would come here. Heres a pic of it. I am just so happy she liked it. I kept her busy again today. Took her shopping and we went to the Pancake Parlour for dinner. Boy Blaine had his pancakes then ate 2 full size on top of that. So glad his appetite is back. Well better head off so I can clean up before Santa visits...
HO HO HO

Its all about the kids

Johnny and I took the kids to Waverley Gardens yesturday to have sant photos done for mum and the nan's. 7 kids with santa, phew glad its done but it went well. I am going there today to pick them up so I will post a pic a little later on. I was going to cook xmas lunch but we all voted on KFC (wasnt great) and then we all got together to open presents. The kids had a ball and the lounge was a mess. Heading back to mums sometime today to give her a canvas I still have to make. Todays plans, i thought i'd take Blaine to the drive ins after going to the Pancake Parlour for dinner. Hopefully that will make him tired enough to sleep. This is a pic of Blaine in his Batman suit that nanny brought for him. Cute.....

Aftermarth

Well I am happy to say I walked away unscathed from yesturdays Xmas party but I can't say that about everybody else. I was sooo grumpy and really hot and sweaty (bum crack sweaty) cos I was still working and getting everybodies pays done while they all got very messy (a blessing in disguise I think).Felicity, my sister couldn't walk a straight line and Michele got real messy. That messy that on the way home it has been reported that she "blew chunks" on the windscreen and in her air vents in the car. But I do have pics to share. The 1st pic is of Michele in fine form and the second is Felicity and Hoa, both shit faced...lol.
Today Johnny, Felicity and I are heading to Waverley Gardend to have all of our kids pic taken with Santa for Pressies for the grandparents so wis us luck. I better get something for mum while Im there..... 2 SLEEPS TO GO.......

Well up nice and early cos I have to get to work early to get everything done by noon. (i usually roll up any time I like)... Not looking forward to banking cos im sure everybody will be rushing like nut cases. Anyway we finish at 12 today and the boss (with a little persuasion from us girls) has put on a chicken salad lunch. We had planned a big day/night but a couple of the blokes are heading to Sydney today to work over the week end at the new business the boss just brought. Safe trip guys, especially Mick who has to drive up and back....
Im hoping for rain early today and lots of it to hopefully kill of these fires in the local country area. Would love to see the end of this smoke.
I got my paper work for "for keeps" mag. So my layout will be in Issue 52

angry

Wow what a hot day.... and another tomorrow. I can't remember a summer like this and we are only 21 days in... phew not looking forward to February....Well I am still looking for something for Blaines party... still no idea. well i am sooooo annoyed with one of the scrapbook supplies today. I won't mention any names but those who know me would know what supplier has #^%@%& me off. This particular company have made 5 errors in 2 weeks. Can you believe it.
1. over charged me and took out too much money from my CC.
2. Invoiced me for products that hadn't been sent.
3. Deducted my CC account when I requested a DD and took the money from my rent account.... not happy
4. and today, they invoiced me and tried to debit my CC after yet again I requested a DD ...bloody idiots.....THEN
5. After indicating I wanted the parcel to be sent EXPRESS POST and it would have arrived tomorrow....The frig'n idiots decided to road freight it so that means it won't arrive to Wednesday cos of all the public holidays.... #$^Y$#%##&##%*^
So appologies to Michele and Fleur you will have to weight until Wednesday.
But don't worry, I'm sure they will get the message after 2 nasty letters I sent them... I am soooo angry.
Anyway...I plan on doing a little scrapping tonight so will chat soon. chow

magnets

Well after a sleepless night with Blaine having a roaring temp, I managed to get my magnets finished for the kinder teachers. They are so cute. Not practical but really cute. I just hope they like them.
Blaine seems ok today. Has a cold (and me too) but no temp ATM. I am going to take him to kinder but I will be expecting a call to pick him up I'm sure. I can't even get in to see our doctor. Drives me nuts..I am off now to make little gift cards for the teachers.

Getting better

Well its been a long couple of days for the little man, actually it 7pm and he's put himself to bed already. I braved it and took him swimming only because it was the last leson for the term and he actually did really well. We got his sexy little swim teacher (LOL) a bottle of red so I hope he is a traditional 20 something year old and gets himself plastered. hehehehe.
The rest of the day I took mum to look at the shops. So now I'm home and I plan on tidying up and scrapping tonight. The cubby is still in a pile, the house is trashed and i'm stuffed...Hmmm can I be bothered...nope.
Back again, i disappeared for a few hours. The boy is really sick again. temp of 38.7 and he has been in bed asleep since 7... if he is still sick tomorrow its off to the doctors.
Well im off and plan to get myself scrapping after i eat my nacho's mmmm yumm...

Sunday

Very quiet today on the home front. Blaine woke up this morning, was up for 10 minutes and then said he was going back to bed. An hour later he was up vomiting. Poor little bloke. He is so hot and has slept all day and won't eat. Hopefully a good nights sleep and he will be better.
Thanks Sharon for the visit today...I really do appreciate all the support you and Andrea give me. Hope you like your new goodies. All my chrissy cards are written and all I have to do is post them out tomorrow.
I plan on going to scrappers warehouse on Tuesday cos I REALLY REALLY REALLY want the rusty pickle pirate paper and some DM. They have 20% off so a good time to stock up. Not that I need to stock up.
I have so many business ideas running around in my head and the only thing stopping me is money..... HMMM where can I get my hands on some freshly printed LOOTE!!!
PLEASE SEND ALL TAX FREE CASH DONATIONS TO..... P.O. BOX

busy

Well, like everybody else, a week before christmas I am running around like a nut case. Last night I did a double layout for the page maps comp and I am really happy with the outcome..... can't wait to show it off wether I win or loose. I see Fleur is also entering, but luckily she is doing a single so I still have a little bit of a chance...lol. Well I killed 2 birds with that one cos it is also my December entry for the biggest comp on "Embellished".
Today I headed up to Lillydale (wow it's miles away) to pick up a cubby I brought for Blaine for Xmas and his birthday. Its still in bits on the ute so I guess I have a bit of work to do in the morning.
I am finding it really hard to find something for Blaine's birthday. I wanted race cars but have found a go kart place that comes to me, only problem is it is $175 an hour. I guess I would want it for 1 1/2 - 2 hours and that adds up to big bickies... The other thought was to hire some of those plastic cars, but that might be a bit boring. I even considered going to the local road training centre but its not like the one we had as kids. Any body got any ideas?
Oh, and a big thanks to Sarah for your suprise visit....thanks for you purchases....love ya....
well off to scrap.....night xxxx

My weekend

Wow, what a hot weekend. I didn't hear the final temps but I think Saturday got to 37 and Sunday to 41. Too hot to do anything especially with no aircon in the house or car. Blaine had his Kinder xmas concert which went pretty well, especially when he doesn't go the day they do singing so I think he did well considering. I happened to get my hands on tickets to the Funtastic warehouse xmas sale. My DB told me people go nuts and line up from 4 am to get in. I thought nothing of it and planned to get there at 6. Well I couldn't sleep. My DS and I arrived at 5.30 AM and there where atleast 2000 infront of us. the line by 8am had i think around 10,000 people and the queue was atleast a km long. WOW. Well it wasn't bad I guess. I spent $240 and brought for 10 kids as well as Blaine.....xmas shopping is finished. TG.... Sat night was wrapping time so thats all done too. Sunday we where supposed to go to an RSL BBQ but there was no way I was going outside when the temp expected to get to 37. Well it hit 41 last time I heard. I was so glad to see the cool change hit, especially with these bush fires here in Vic. The smoke coverage has been extreme all weekend so hopefully the fires are contained by Wednesday b4 it gets too hot again.
14 days till xmas

too sick

I'm home today with gastro. I have been really sick all day that I have pretty much slept the whole day. Way too sick to scrap, chat, eat or even do housework.....

I have registered the shop on top 50 where I started at a ranking of 174. Yesturday I got so excited that I had dropped to 128. Well I just looked and now down to 116. I wanted to aim to be in the top 100 by the end of the year and by the way its going, I hope to acheive it. All I need now are customers.

Off to bed again, take care....

Blaine's Christmas Photo Shoot

I wanted to portray an "Aussie Christmas" this year rather than the 'commercial xmas' we are subjected to. I took Blaine to Frankston Beach and took over 100 shots. They are all too gorgeous but thought I'd share these with you all.

some pics to share

I just thought I'd share some photos I took of Blaine over the last week or so.
These photos where taken on Sunday at Brighton Beach.

My first entry

Hi everybody and thanks for popping in and looking at my blog.
The reason I have created this blog, is to introduce myself, my family and friends and promote my scrapbook website.
I am a single mum to Blaine who will be 4 in January. I work pretty much around the clock. I am the accounts/office girl at Renew Bumpers/Everlast Automotive where we sell reconditioned bumper bars and head lights, as well as creating my own AFFORDABLE scrapbook website.
I have a passion, actually an obsession with scrapbooking and love to show my creative side. I wouldn't say it relaxes me, more that it makes me challenge myself more each and every day.

OK, I won't bore you so I will give you a quick run down of Blaine and myself:
* I am 33 years old
* I really could do with loosing 50 pounds or more.....
* We have a budgie and 2 tadpoles that we hope will turn into green tree frogs soon.
* Blaine is currently in a 3 year old creche program and next year will continue in a 4 year old program. If he does well, they may up him to Kinder, but at this stage school looks to be in 2009.
* We live in Narre Warren South, but are hoping to move after Xmas to a quiet country area near Neerim South.
* I have a DB and DS who have 6 kids between them and a mum doing it tough.

Enough about us, more about the business....
I have just registered on Top 50 to where I am currently ranked 143... LOL.... long way to go to get down to those single digits...

My aim is to keep scrapbook prices low. I offer 20% off retail products and I also don't mind free pick up or delivery to my local area.

My biggest special that happens everyday is that I sell Bazzill cardstock from $0.65 per sheet. This is almost half of what some retailers charge. Apart from the website and advertising, I don't really have overheads so I am happy to pass on these savings to you.

I used to run a shop and classes from home a couple of years ago where Fleurie was my class teacher. Unfortunately due to the loss of my Dad suddenly and unexpected, It was put on the back burner until now.

I do ask that you are patient while I build stock, but I am also happy to try and get things in if possible on request (as long as the suppliers have it in stock and pull their fingers out ;) )

So why not pop in and take a look. I might just have something there you might like. Oh yeah.... add your name to the customer list so I can offer you super discounts from time to time.
